Needed a big guy, got better than I expected.  Should at least help Edwu and Imdje develop for another year.  Hope he can perform well in the Big Ten!

When  is he going to eligible.  I think he have to sit out a year like all transfers unless its hardship or he has graduated.

Graduating this spring, so eligible immediately as a grad student.

New Illini Men's Basketball Rule:  All graduate transfer students must be named "Sam M."

Welcome aboard Sam!

Excellent observation ... quite amazing really. That would make McLaurin 'Sam M2'.

Cheers

Welcome aboard Mr. McLaurin, wishing you nothing but the best. Its nice to see someone come on board that's not only an athlete but a student as well. I think you will find joining the Illini Nation a rewarding experience.
