Illini basketball identifies strength coach

CHAMPAIGN – Illinois basketball has found its strength and conditioning coach.
Lon Record, who previously served as the strength coach with the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Villanova, is set to join the Illini staff.
The Pennsylvania native is in C-U after spending the past five years with the Big East program. He also has worked at Florida International and Notre Dame. Record will replace Jimmy Price, who left to become the strength and conditioning coach for Kansas State basketball.
