Verdell Jones headed to Greece

Former Champaign Central star Verdell Jones III has signed a contract to begin his professional basketball career in Greece, he wrote on Twitter.
Jones, who played four seasons at Indiana, has spent the offseason rehabbing his knee after suffering a torn ACL at the Big Ten tournament in March. He finished his IU career with 1,347 points (23rd alltime) and 389 assists (ninth).
