It was an easy night for the Illini in their 89-64 win against St. Francis:
Illinois held the Terriers scoreless for the last 7:11 of the first half during a 15-0 run to pull away from the visitors and cruise to an easy victory in Game 2 of the John Groce era.
WHAT THE ILLINI SAID
“We’ve got a chance to keep getting better with the effort they’re giving right now and the camaraderie … we’ve got a chance to continue to get better and that gives us a chance to reach our potential.” — Coach John Groce
WHAT THE TERRIERS SAID
“I thought they (Illini) were really, really good and I thought we were just a couple of steps behind on plays. They were good, they were really good and that’s a credit to Coach that they’ve gotten better.” — Coach Glenn Braica
