Jon Ekey (seven points, four rebounds) made the first two field goals of his Illinois career and Nnanna Egwu blocked a career-high five shots to go along with 10 points and seven boards.

Freshman Jaylon Tate (10 points, eight assists, one turnover) continues to impress as Illinois once again got contributions from everyone eligible to play.

Another comfortable win, but it wasn’t flawless. John Groce was upset with the 25 offensive rebounds allowed and all the loose balls that went the other way, but it provides more opportunities to teach.
