Snider to Louisville

Snider to Louisville

The day that was supposed to end with Cliff Alexander got off to a bad start.

Point guard Quentin Snider, who committed to Illinois in September, backed out of of that commitment and signed with Louisville on Friday morning.

Snider, who originally committed to Louisville in 2011, backed out of that commitment this summer.

When 5-star guard Jaquan Lyle decommitted for Louisville recently, the Cardinals picked up their pursuit of the Louisville Ballard prospect once again.

Leron Black is expected to sign his letter of intent to Illinois during a ceremony at White Station High School today.

Commitment.  What a joke

He's just a kid. And susceptible to recruiting seduction by Pitino. Wait -- that's for back rooms in a Louisville restaurant--never mind. But look for Sir Legend Tate's coming sermon from the mount tossing this immature kid under the bus. Could be a very bad Illini hair day if Alexander goes to Kansas. And just when the Sleepy Gazoo had annointed the program as once again regal. He's just a kid--don't have a cow, man, as Bart Simpson would say.

Dont much care if he is a kid.  You make a commitment you keep it.  He probably tell you he is a man. Then act like it.

He did keep it, considering he committed to Illinois only after decommitting from his original commitment to Louisville.

Verbal commitment stories and the "Welcome to the Illini Family" comments they engender are meaningless. Verbals mean nothing; only signatures matter.

Kind of reminds me of the Eric Gordon situation.

Snider decommits, Alexander goes to Kansas and Ohio State spanks us in football.

What else could go wrong?

Bad day just got worse when Big (headed) cliff just showed his maturity by faking the Illini hat before chosing kansas. What a twit!! ESPN announcers even stated how rude & immature the move was. I figured when okafor & jones chose to become duke pukes (I actually was hoping self(ish) would get them) that there was a good chance that sent alexander to ku. Not sure if Lyle is still following cliff, if they're that tight, I'm not sure we want him, unless he has a higher maturity level. It is amazing to me that all the very top talent always think there are only 4-5 schools in this country that can get them to the next level. At least 20 other schools a year can win it all. Anyway, good job Coach Groce for signing  Black & Finke. I can understand snider's decision, he's grown up a cardinal fan. Good job of at least getting us where the big guns have us on their short list....in only 1 full season. Better days are coming & I'm still exited to follow this years team.  Well, big (headed) cliff, I can't wish you well after your foolish looking, rude fake out on Illini fans & Coach Groce & his staff. I hope you lose in the 1st round of the ncaa's, like self has done very often after you average 6pts pg & shoot 30% for the year!      ILL....
