The clutch junior went on a bit of a run with Illinois in danger of losing its first game of the season, scoring 12 of his 15 points in the second half.

Rayvonte Rice (17 points) made the play of the game, stealing an IPFW pass late and Joseph Bertrand (11 points) converted a clutch rebound and bucket in the decisive stretch.

The Illini didn’t get much in the way of production out of Jon Ekey and Nnanna Egwu from a scoring standpoint, but the duo contribted 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.

After playing such a big role in the win at UNLV, the Illini freshmen didn’t get much run Friday, while IPFW’s top player, Luis Jacobo, came off the pine to score 15.
