'Illinois is NOT kentucky'

In Wednesday's chat, UI beat writer Marcus Jackson said Carlton Bragg wouldn't rush his college decision. The Ohio star is considering Illinois, Kentucky and Kansas.

Quickly, Kentucky fans weighed in. A sample:

Mr Jackson, I can't wait until Charles Mathews and Carleton bragg team up at ky and win another national title for the BLUEgrass state..Illinois will never ever be as good as Kentucky period, so why would bragg want to waste his time at Illinois when he can come to Kentucky and win a national title?..we here at Kentucky will be seeing bragg commit to us at some point...Illinois is NOT kentucky.

Brett Dawson, a former beat writer at the N-G, runs Catsillustrated.com, a Kentucky fan site. Weigh in here if you'd like.

Or tell our columnist, Tom Kacich, what Illinois can do to raise its stock here

And, the Kentucky fan is right. Will Bush League Jackson rise to the bait and issue a frothy defense (cheerleading)?

Ah, good old cowpie. Look, Illinois is NOT Kentucky; our players are expected to be able to read and also to attend class, even during the second semester of their freshman year. Kentucky basketball is the absolute best example of what is wrong with college basketball. I am hoping the NBA will make a change that will end up killing the "one and out" that makes a farce of "student-athlete" and "college basketball."

I think Moonpie should heed Adam Richman's advise
