Thomas will officially visit Illinois
Elijah Thomas is one of the most coveted high school basketball players in the Class of 2015.
And in roughly seven weeks, the Texas native plans to officially visit Illinois.
The five-star center, who shined last winter at Lancaster (Texas) High School outside of Dallas while helping the Tigers finish 31-5 last season, will take an official visit to Illinois the weekend of Sept. 19, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported Monday morning, a week after he officially visits Oklahoma State.

The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Thomas is ranked the 11th-best player in the upcoming senior class, according to Rivals. He counts Illinois, Oklahoma State, Texas, UNLV, SMU and USC among the main schools vying for his services.
He is the second official visit Illinois will have this fall after Oklahoma native Shake Milton announced on Sunday Illinois is one of his final four schools. Milton is planning to make visit to Illinois early in October.
Illinois already has two commits in the Class of 2015 with Chicago Simeon wing D.J. Williams and Plainfield East shooting guard Aaron Jordan, and the Illini have three scholarships remaining for the class.
