Underwood making his pitch this weekend

It's part of a big weekend for first-year men's basketball coach Brad Underwood, who is hosting two 2018 official visitors starting today for the weekend and a third unofficial visitor Sunday. Here's who's headed to C-U:

Landers Nolley (6-6, 205, Forward)

Illinois' pitch could be "Come home" to the former Chicago native, who moved to the Atlanta area before his junior season. He averaged 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the 2016-17 season for Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga. Nolley rocketed up the 2018 class to four-star and top 60 status this summer after playing for Team Loaded on the Adidas circuit and has other official visits scheduled to Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Georgia and UConn.

Colin Castleton (6-11, 220, Forward)

Castleton's shift from the EYBL circuit in April and May to the Adidas circuit in July shined a brighter light on the Florida big man. He showcased his versatile game that saw him average 23.3 points, 11 rebounds and 5.4 blocks in 2016-17 at Father Lopez Catholic in Daytona Beach and got offers from the likes of Florida State, Ohio State, Purdue and Florida. He has official visits set for the latter two, but Illinois was in early with a May offer and will get his first visit this weekend.

Jaxson Hayes 6-10, 195, Forward

Hayes is scheduled for an unofficial visit at Kentucky on Saturday before he makes the trip to Champaign on Sunday for another unofficial. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native grew 3 inches since the end of his junior season at Archbishop Moeller to hit 6-10, played his first year of AAU this spring and summer and added several high major offers since June. Hayes' only scheduled official visits are Texas (Sept. 8-9) and Xavier (Sept. 15-16).
