The Illini freshman might have missed a wide open layup late in the game, but he made up for it with another dagger three-pointer in what's turning out to be a month full of them. Dosunmu's clutch shot pushed him to 15 points for the game to go with four rebounds and three assists.

Illini sweep Big Ten weekly honors

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois made some Big Ten basketball history Monday afternoon after Giorgi Bezhanishvili was named Big Ten Player of the Week and Ayo Dosunmu earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. That sweep was the first by a pair of freshmen from the same team and was also the first time Illinois had ever won both honors.
