Illini soccer inks three

The UI women's soccer team signed goalkeeper Leisha Alcia, forward Tara Hurless and midfielder Christine Sinak.

Alcia, a 5-8 keeper from Mississauga, Ontario, played for the Burlington Sting club team that won the Canadian national championship and went 54-4-3.

Hurless, a 5-3 standout from Rockford Boylan, earned first-team All-Northern Illinois Conference honors the past three seasons.

Sinak, a 5-5 first-team All-Metro player from Webster Grove, Mo., posted career highs in goals (10) and assists (10) as a junior.
