Illinois goalie grabs honor

Four shutouts in a row has people other than the Illini''s opponents recognizing the play of goalkeeper Leisha Alcia.
Alcia, a junior from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, shared BigTen defensive player of the week with Purdue goalie Lauren Mason after both keepers posted shutouts during the weekend.
The honor was Alcia''s third career Big Ten player of the week honor and her first this season. She has given up four goals in more than 731 minutes of action (0.49 goals-against average) while leading the Illini to a 5-2-1 mark this season.
