Pawloski, soccer continue run

URBANA — Megan Pawloski connected in the first half, lifting the Illinois soccer team to a 1-0 victory against Wisconsin for the fifth consecutive Illini victory.

"Some of the ball movement we had was great," Illini coach Janet Rayfield said, "especially in the first half, and that is what I think created the goal for us. ... Once again, the defense came through and held on for a 1-0 victory."

Keeper Steph Panozzo, who had five saves in Illinois' fourth straight 1-0 win, has registered 415 consecutive shutout minutes.

"I really like the fact that she not only made the save, but she made it clean, held onto it, got up and was ready to play," Rayfield said.
