Swimmers, divers improve to 5-0

CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois women’s swimming and diving team improved to 5-0 for the first time in 13 years Friday, beating Michigan State and Southern Illinois in the Splash Bash at the ARC Pool.

Corey Kasten claimed the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, 6.19 seconds. Britni Fisher was third in 1-meter diving.

Brittany McGowan placed second in the 200 butterfly. McGowan and Kasten also helped the Illini win the 200 medley relay.
