Wrestlers pummel Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The eighth-ranked Illinois wrestling team cruised to a victory Sunday against Indiana, winning seven of 10 matches en route to a 29-10 win.

Tony Dallago (184 pounds) won by pinfall to lead the Illini charge. No. 5 B.J. Futrell (133) won by technical fall, and No. 5 Jesse Delgado (125), Jackson Morse (157) and No. 10 Conrad Polz (165) earned major decisions.

"Pretty solid performance today," Illini coach Jim Heffernan said. "We competed hard and were aggressive throughout."

Illinois improved to 13-2 overall and 5-2 in the Big Ten.

In men's tennis:

Illini fall. No. 2 Dennis Nevolo provided one of the few highlights from Illinois' 4-2 loss to No. 18 North Carolina on Sunday at the ITA Kick-off Weekend event in Atlanta.

Nevolo beat No. 30 Jose Hernandez 6-4, 6-1, and Tim Kopinski also won to provide the lone points for No. 15 Illinois, which lost its first match of the season to fall to 3-1.
