No. 1 USC drops Illinois in NCAAs

ATHENS, Ga. – It appears USC is as good as advertised.

No. 1 USC eased past No. 16 Illinois with a 4-0 win in the Round of 16 of the NCAA men’s tennis championships today at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. The Trojans (30-1) are favored to become the second team to win four straight NCAA team titles.

Illinois (19-8) seniors Dennis Nevolo and Roy Kalmanovich will compete in the singles draw next week.
