Volleyball stays at No. 21

The Illini remained at No. 21 this week in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll. The national rankings were released Monday afternoon.

Illinois (8-6) split its two matches last week, winning in four sets at Indiana and losing in five at then-No. 13 Purdue.

Penn State , which will visit Huff Hall on Saturday (7 p.m.), kept its No. 1 spot following three-set sweeps at Wisconsin and at No. 10 Minnesota. The Nittany Lions (14-1) received 42 of 60 first-place votes.

The Big Ten has seven representatives in the Top 25. Joining Penn State, Minnesota, No. 12 Purdue and the Illini are No. 4 Nebraska, No. 19 Ohio State and No. 25 Michigan State.
