UI women lose another player

CHAMPAIGN — A second member of the Illinois women’s basketball team has seen her playing career ended by injury this season.

Sophomore Kierra Morris was medically disqualified by the UI, the school announced Tuesday. The 6-foot-4 center had not played this season due to chronic pain from a left knee injury that occurred during the 2011-12 season.

Late last month, redshirt junior forward Kersten Magrum also was medically disqualified after suffering the fourth concussion of her college career.
