CHAMPAIGN — Illinois senior Karisma Penn, the only player to rank in the top five in the Big Ten in scoring, rebounding, steals, blocked shots and field goal percentage, is one of 30 players in contention for the Naismith Women’s College Player of the Year Award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Wednesday.
Penn is averaging 19.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.2 blocks per game for the Illini.
