Fond farewells for GodBold, Magrum and Penn

Fond farewells for GodBold, Magrum and Penn

They have gone from the lowest of lows to the brink of the NCAA tournament. Thursday night, Illini fans will say goodbye to three seniors. We let them do the talking.

KARISMA PENN

The best moment of my Illinois career was ... right now, being in the upper half of the Big Ten standings.

When Matt Bollant gets mad, he ... calls you out and issues a personal challenge.

Next March, I am going to be ... in the real world.

News-Gazette headline I’d like to read about myself ... “Illini are Going Dancing”

Other than basketball, I’m really good at ... sleeping.

KERSTEN MAGRUM
The best moment of my Illinois career was ... beating Georgia at home.

When Matt Bollant gets mad, he ... talks more with his hands, and his face gets red.

Next March, I am going to be … either in graduate school or working at a youth sports-performance facility.

News-Gazette headline I’d like to read about myself ... “Kersten Magrum becomes a masked vigilante citizen/ninja superhero”

Other than basketball, I’m really good at ... decorating Christmas cookies.

ADRIENNE GODBOLD
The best moment of my Illinois career was ... my sophomore year when I hit the buzzer-beater to beat Minnesota and this year when I came back and we beat No. 6 Georgia.

When Matt Bollant gets mad, he ... gets mad. It’s rare, but he starts to yell and makes us get on the line to run.

Next March, I am going to be ... making a difference somewhere in the world. Not quite sure where yet, though.

News-Gazette headline I’d like to read about myself ... “GodBold strikes again”

Other than basketball, I’m really good at ... drawing and painting.

So glad these Seniors get to go out on a winning season. Saying good-bye to Kersten will be bitter-sweet wondering what she could have done on the court if fate hadn't cut her playing career short.

Kick Ohio State right in the buckeyes tonight! Pound Purdue on Sunday! Make some noise at the Big 10 Tournament! Enjoy Dancing in the post season!

Go Illini!!
