GodBold: Big Ten's best defender

Illinois senior Adrienne GodBold has been named Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year, the conference announced today.

Illinois senior Karisma Penn was named first-team All-BIg Ten in the media voting. She joined GodBold on the second team in voting by coaches.

Coach of the Year went to  Penn State's Coquese Washington. Penn State's Maggie Lucas was named Player of the Year.

Kind of wish GodBold and Penn could have had more time under Bollant and less under Law.  Law's a great recruiter, but Bollant seems like a more effective teacher and coach.
