RK., TEAM REC. 2017 RANKING COMMENT

1. St. Thomas More 1-0 3 The Sabers got off to a strong start with their latest campaign, getting by host Judah Christian in shutout fashion.

2. Champaign Central 0-0 — Led by Santiago Rodriquez, Peter Wagner and Urbana transfer Pablo Diaz, the Maroons will be a club to watch.

3. Uni High 0-0 2 Though the Illineks experienced many key graduations, guys like Izzy Gray, Albert Lee and Sammy Gray are still around.

4. Urbana 0-0 1 Losing Player of the Year Bennett Anderson and Coach of the Year Randy Blackman creates large holes for the Tigers.

5. Mahomet-Seymour 0-0 4 Austin Carr tries to make his senior year count after tallying 24 goals in 2017, and Ethan Mansfield will be a key contributor.

6. Iroquois West 1-0 5 The Raiders should have little trouble scoring with Diego Camarena, Angela Barajas and Omar Camarena all returning.

7. Fisher/GCMS 1-0 6 Caleb Bleich and Tyler Ricks will be counted upon for scoring, while Ethan Kasper should offer a steady presence in net.

8. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 0-0 8 Drew Reifsteck was an offensive dynamo last year as a sophomore, giving the Blue Devils someone to build around.

9. Blue Ridge 0-1 7 Opening at Bloomington Central Catholic Monday was a tough task, but the Knights have promise due to their defense.

10. Judah Christian 0-1 9 Tests such as Monday's against St. Thomas More will be important for the Tribe, who will count on Joseph Linsner.
