N-G boys' soccer Top 10: September 11, 2018


1. Champaign Central 10-2 1 Tyke Gustafsson and the Maroons downed Peoria Richwoods on Tuesday, rebounding from a setback against Normal West.

2. Fisher/GCMS 11-1 2 Graham Voelker and the Bunnies suffered their first loss, to BHRA on Monday, but took down Rantoul the following night.

3. Uni High 7-2-3 3 Lawrence Taritsa and the Illineks drew with St. Thomas More on Monday. They'll host BHRA this week for a tough bout.

4. BHRA 8-0-1 8 Andrew Tingley and the Blue Devils shut out potent Fisher/GCMS and took care of Oakwood/Salt Fork in back-to-back tilts.

5. Mahomet-Seymour 4-2-3 — Jacob Janda and the Bulldogs debut in our rankings despite tying Mattoon on Tuesday. Bloomington comes in Saturday.

6. Urbana 3-2-1 4 Marco Rodriguez and the Tigers earned a tie with Bloomington on Tuesday and will host Peoria Notre Dame on Thursday.

7. Iroquois West 7-2 6 Angel Barajas and the Raiders slipped to Momence on Tuesday. A trip to Fisher/GCMS is on the docket for early next week.

8. St. Thomas More 7-4-2 7 JP Hoffman and the Sabers earned a critical victory Tuesday by halting Unity. They trek to St. Joseph-Ogden on Thursday.

9. Unity 6-3 5 Alex Stahl and the Rockets have been slowed by consecutive defeats, at the hands of Judah Christian and St. Thomas More.

10. Hoopeston Area 7-0 10 Rhys Root and the Cornjerkers knocked off Judah Christian and Schlarman this week, and they face Clifton Central next.
