Class 1A

FRIDAY AT EAST PEORIA

9:30 a.m. – Tri-Valley vs. today's Dakota/Alexis winner. In five postseason games, Tri-Valley has not yet allowed a run

Noon – Cobden vs. Dupo. State's top two ranked teams played in Monday's Carbondale Super-sectional, with Cobden beating Cumberland 1-0.

Class 2A

4:30 p.m. – Olympia vs. Coal City. Defending state runner-up Spartans seeking third state crown in past eight years.

7 p.m. – Piasa Southwestern vs. Savanna West Carroll. Unranked Savanna has shut out its last four postseason opponents entering showdown vs. No. 3 team.

BASEBALL STATE SEMIFINALS

FRIDAY AT JOLIET

Class 1A

10 a.m. – North Fulton vs. today's Routt/Raymond Lincolnwood winner. In sectional opener, North Fulton had to score twice in the bottom of the seventh to beat Blue Ridge 2-1.

1 p.m. – Eastland vs. Marissa. Eastland, a school of 249 located in Lanark, has never won a state trophy in a boys' sport.

Class 2A

4 p.m. Olympia vs. Watseka. To date, Watseka's top state finish in any sport is third by 1974-75 basketball team, but baseball has 15-game winning streak.

7 p.m. – Morrison vs. Metro East Lutheran. With one more win, 28-2 Morrison will play in the first state championship game in any sport in school history.
