Brandon Noe and Hannah Darr are our Athletes of the Week:

Brandon Noe, St. Thomas More senior, track

Recently: Unleashed a toss of 188 feet, 5 inches in the discus at the PBL Invitational, the second-best mark by an area athlete and, according to the IHSA's all-time track and field leaders' list, the 17th best in state history. He also won the shot put in the same meet.

Quote: "It was an awesome day. I was really happy with it. I did not expect to open the season like that."

My favorite band is ... Zac Brown Band.

If I could go anywhere, it would be ... the Florida Keys.

For one day, I would like to trade places with ... Mac Wilkins.

My favorite movie is ... "Blue Streak."

My favorite athlete is ... Christian Cantwell (USA shot).

People don't know that ... I am an outdoorsman.

When I am wealthy, I would like to ... buy a private jet.

The best thing about my sport is ... it's individual. It's all on you.

Favorite book ... "The Old Man and the Sea."
