Tigers walk over Central
URBANA — The host Tigers took advantage of 13 Champaign Central walks in an 11-7 regular season win Friday.
Bryan Fink and Nick Hoffman each had two hits and two RBI for Urbana. Cody Comstock also drove in two runs.
Clint Miller had three of Central’s 12 hits. Reggie Walker, Tony Giammaria and Kurtis Brown had two hits each.
Mattoon 4, Centennial 3. Tim Weaver had two RBI for the host Chargers. The Green Wave held Centennial to three hits.
Centennial 7, Champaign Central 4. The host Chargers broke up a 4-4 tie with two runs in the sixth.
Kaley Barak, Jamie Cutright and Courtney Stamm each had two hits for Centennial. Katie Blas earned her sixth win.
Maeve Aquino and Monica Rondon each had two hits for the Maroons.
Tri-Valley 5, Argenta-Oreana 0. Danielle Rogers had the lone hit for the Bombers in a Class 1A regional loss at Farmer City. A-O ends the season 14-11.
