DANVILLE GIRLS' SOCCER

The Vikings (8-9-1) had a perfect week: Three matches, three shutout wins to extend the team's streak of shutout victories this season to eight. Goalkeepers Kim Youhas and Jessica Sanks had a strong week as did scorers Mallory Sparnicht (six goals) and Emma Peck (four goals).

GIBSON CITY-MELVIN-SIBLEY SOFTBALL

The Falcons' Regan Romshek pitched back-to-back three-hit shutouts on consecutive days as GCMS (13-5) extended its winning streak to seven games. The Falcons are ranked eighth in the state in Class 1A. Romshek struck out 12 batters against Hoopeston Area in a 9-0 triumph.

MAHOMET-SEYMOUR GIRLS' SOCCER

The Bulldogs (11-1-1) posted two shutout victories, raising their season's total to seven shutouts. Goalkeeper Breanna Taylor stopped 16 shots in the two matches, and six teammates scored goals during the week, including Sarah Garrow and Morgan DeHaan with two apiece.

TUSCOLA BASEBALL

The Warriors (7-14) had their two best offensive outbursts in back-to-back wins, scoring 16 runs against Monticello and 23 against East Central. Jacob Barr (twice), Chance Little and Pat Yoakum all hammered homers against the Panthers. Dillon Hoel had four hits against the Sages.

MAHOMET-SEYMOUR BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD

The Bulldogs won the Pontiac Relays and followed up with a team title in the 10-school Gene Ward Invitational in Champaign. Derek Bunch won the shot put in both meets. Area leader Colton Fender won both hurdles races and ran on a winning relay at the Gene Ward meet.
