Tuesday's prep highlights

In baseball
Tuscola 7, East Central 3. Tommy Watson drove in a pair of runs as the host Warriors pulled away with a six-run fifth inning in the rain-shortened game.

In softball
Clinton 2, Unity 1. Megan Tool (3 for 4) and Morgan Hickman drove in the Maroons’ runs in a game shortened to six innings due to the weather. Clinton, which improved to 6-1 in the Okaw Valley Conference, scored four runs in the top of the seventh and was one out from winning before the inning was wiped out. Shelby Hildreth drove in a run for the Rockets.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammong 12, Shiloh 3. Ashley Tabb struck out nine and drove in a run to lead the Lancers. Emily Seegmiller had three RBI for A-L/A-H.

In girls’ soccer
Centennial 10, Eisenhower 0. Dagny Olson scored four of her five goals in the first half as the Chargers cruised on the road. Olson also added an assist for Centennial, which got two goals from Lindsey Taylor. Sara Regan, Jenna Hornbaker and Paige Ducharme also scored for Centennial, which had five goals in each half.

Normal West 5, Central 0. The Maroons trailed 2-0 at halftime in a Big 12 loss.

Monticello 9, Danville 1. Emma Reinbold had four goals and an assist to power the Sages’ road victory. Kia Smith added two goals for Monticello, which led 6-1 at halftime. Eilish McLean, Ally Garrett and Elsa Bielser also scored for the Sages. Marissa McMillan scored for the Vikings.

Mahomet-Seymour 7, Urbana Uni 1. Following a scoreless first half in which they played into the wind, the Bulldogs came to life after intermission. Sarah VanWingerden had two goals and two assists to lead the charge as M-S outshot Uni 17-0. Brianna Haney had a goal and an assist, and Catherine McHale, Aleyna Brunner, Marisa Ellis and Natalie Fulk also found the back of the net.

In track & field
At Arthur. Jordan Feagin won the long jump and triple jump to lead Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond to the title of the five-school meet. Ten events were completed before the meet was suspended due to weather. Mitchell Helton (high jump), Jeffrey Earnst (3,200), Austin Dean (100) and A-L/A-H’s 3,200 relay team also won events.

Arcola, which won the 400 relay, was second, and Ryan Pearce (shot put, discus) helped Villa Grove to third.

At Urbana. Alexus Jimson-Miller won the 100 and 200 and ran a leg on the winning 800 as Danville edged Mattoon (75-69) in a triangular. Caylin Smith (800, 3,200 relay) and Shannon Brown (300 hurdles, 1,600 relay) also pitched in for the Vikings. Lynette Buggs (shot put) and Mercedes Elliott (1,600) also won individual events for Danville.

Amori Alford won the discus for third-place Urbana.
