Wednesday's prep highlights: Tuscola pitchers toss gem

In baseball

■ Tuscola 14, A-L/A-H 0. Winning pitcher Austin Martin, Tyler Hale and Jackson McCrory combined on a five-inning no-hitter for the host Warriors, who collected 13 hits. Martin struck out three in two innings.  
Nick Bates went 3 for 4 and Tommy Watson went 2 for 4 in the victory.            

■ Paris 10, Tri-County 0. Clint Foster had the lone hit for the visiting Titans (0-2).

■ Blue Ridge 14, A-P 0. Cory Jayne tossed a one-hitter and struck out seven for the Knights, who received three RBI and a double from Clint O’Neal against Armstrong-Potomac. Will Duggins had two hits for Blue Ridge, which got five RBI from Jayne and two RBI from Ben Williamson.

■ Salt Fork 13, VG/H 1. The visiting Storm broke open a close game by scoring six runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth against host Villa Grove/Heritage.

In softball

■ Blue Ridge 22, A-P 0. Megan Tsevelekos scored five runs for the visiting Knights against Armstrong-Potomac. Taylor Builta scored four runs in the victory. Morgan Woliung went 3 for 4 with three RBI and Mackenzie Beck was 4 for 4 with four RBI and two runs in the victory.

■ Salt Fork 18, VG/H 4. Emilie McFadden went 3 for 4 for the visiting Storm, which received two hits apiece from Lea Hall and Kylee Summers.

In girls’ soccer

■ Champaign Central 2, Uni High 0. Maddy Chalifoux scored twice for the host Maroons.
