Wednesday's prep highlights: Central rallies from 10 down

In baseball
■ Champaign Central 13, Indiana Area 12. The Maroons rallied from a 10-run deficit in Myrtle Beach, S.C., behind the pitching of Jonathan Foster and Phillip Swartz. After Indiana Area scored 12 runs in the first three innings, Foster and Swartz did not allow any runs the rest of the way. Central outscored Indiana Area 11-0 after the third inning. Jacob Snider scored three runs for the Maroons, and Joseph Aeilts had three RBI.

■ Centennial 3, John Carroll 2. Jeff Lindgren pitched a complete game, allowing two hits in Fort Pierce, Fla. Lindgren went 2 for 3. Zach Parks, who went 2 for 4, had the game-winning RBI.

■ Eau Gallie 3, STM 0. Storm Joop had two hits for St. Thomas More in Palm Bay, Fla.

■ Tuscola 9, Blue Ridge 4. Three Warriors hit home runs, and host Tuscola scored seven runs in the third and fourth innings. Austin Martin was 2 for 3 with a home run. Clayton Turner was 2 for 4 with a homer. Nick Bates hit one home run and had three RBI. Dylan Trent homered and had three RBI for the Knights.

■ Westville 6, Tri-County 0. Mark Strebin pitched four shutout innings for the Tigers. Tanner Cox, Austin Milholland and Tyler Dicken pitched in relief to secure the win. The pitchers combined on a one-hitter. Kyle Brazas had three hits and scored a run for the Tigers. Aaron Marx had two hits and three RBI.

■ Paxton-Buckley-Loda 5, Kankakee Bishop McNamara 4. After PBL scored four runs in the fifth inning to go ahead by three, Bishop McNamara scored two runs in the sixth to pull within one. Jonathon Walder won his first game of the season. Walder was 2 for 3 with two RBI.

■ Windsor 19, Villa Grove/Heritage 7. Dalton James was 2 for 4 for VG-H.

In softball
■ Milford 21, St. Anne 3. Milford scored all of its runs in the first three innings. Sierra Fanning was 3 for 3 with a grand slam and five RBI. Taylor Simpson was 3 for 4 with three RBI. Cornisha Allen had two hits and scored three runs. Mindy Garrelts won her second game of the season. She went 4 for 4 with six RBI.

■ Watseka 2, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 1. Taylor Bauer struck out 11 batters, allowed three hits and gave up one run in seven innings for the Warriors. Hayley Gray was 2 for 3 with one RBI. Devin Curry was 1 for 3 and scored one run. Cassandra Crook was 1 for 3 with one RBI. Breanna Walker and Amber Wittemann each went 1 for 3 for GCMS.

■ Olympia 6, Clinton 1. Alexis Estes had nine strikeouts and went 2 for 2 with one RBI in the loss. Rachel Borland was 2 for 3 for the Maroons.

■ Bismarck-Henning 8, Paris 5. B-H broke a 5-5 tie by scoring three runs in the seventh inning. Emmie Hawkins had four RBI. Lanie Andrews had two RBI and three stolen bases.
