Monday's prep highlights: PBL’s Zenner throws gem

In baseball
■ Tri-County 16, Martinsville 0. Cyrus Furgeson had two hits and two RBI for the Titans. Brandon Stone scored three runs.

■ Oakwood 12, Armstrong-Potomac 1. Kyle Girton had seven strikeouts and allowed two hits. Blake Vinson was 3 for 4 with three RBI for the Comets.

■ St. Joseph-Ogden 5, Salt Fork 1. The Spartans remained undefeated behind Hunter Hart’s nine strikeouts. Dalton Walsh had two hits and an RBI.

■ Monticello 12, Fisher 2. Ryne Bundy was 4 for 5 with an inside the park home run for the Sages, while Daniel Caldwell struck out 12. Kyle Williams was 2 for 4 with an RBI for Fisher.

■ Paxton-Buckley-Loda 4, Milford 0. Andrew Zenner struck out seven and allowed four hits in the shutout for PBL. Jay Eshleman, Johnny Walder and Axl Denault each had an RBI.

■ Mahomet-Seymour 6, Prairie Central 1. Chris Redman allowed two hits in six innings for the Bulldogs. Jack Rettig added two hits and three RBI.

■ Central 6, Lincoln 0. Phillip Swartz had 11 strikeouts and allowed four hits in a complete game. Luke Beesley had three RBI.

■ Arthur-Okaw Christian 11, Judah Christian 10. The Conquering Riders scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Josh Gingerich hit a solo home run in the first inning and had two RBI. Brandon Hamilton was 2 for 3 with two RBI for Judah Christian.

In softball
■ Bismarck-Henning 7, Rantoul 5. B-H rallied to score six runs in the fifth inning. Emmie Hawkins had two hits, three RBI and a stolen base for B-H. Masyn Clow had two RBI. Rantoul’s Kaylee Denton and Jordan Smith had two hits apiece.

■ Shiloh 24, Martinsville 3. Jessica Hunt struck out 11 batters for her first win and contributed three RBI and five stolen bases. Tori Stierwalt was 3 for 5 with four RBI for Shiloh.

■ Fisher 16, Schlarman 0. Megan McCoy and Kelcie Fredrickson combined for the one-hit shutout. Emilee Schwing was 3 for 3 and scored four runs, while Toree Stalter had two hits and three RBI for the Bunnies.

■ Hoopeston Area 10, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 3. Rylee Martin struck out eight in a complete game for the Cornjerkers, while Kaelynn Longfellow had two hits and two RBI. Zayna Flahaut had two hits and an RBI for PBL.

■ Monticello 17, Mahomet-Seymour 9. The Sages scored nine runs in the first three innings. Chrissy Gadbury hit two home runs and had four RBI. Allie Hislope homered and drove in two runs. Lucy Stahl had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

■ Clinton 12, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 1. Alexis Estes had eight strikeouts for the Maroons. Haley Ginger went 4 for 5 with three RBI and two stolen bases. Haley Toohill and Krista Hickman had two hits and two RBI apiece.
