In baseball
■ Paxton-Buckley-Loda 3, St. Thomas More 2. Johnathon Walder struck out four in a complete game for PBL. Drew Schrodt and Dustin Mercer had two hits apiece. Martin Mennenga had a hit and an RBI. Josh Koerner was 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Sabers. Harrison York had two hits and scored a run. Austin Tabeling struck out five and had an RBI.

■ Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 12, Armstrong-Potomac 0. Preston Young had nine strikeouts in a one-hit complete-game shutout for the Falcons. Axel Doran was 2 for 3 and scored three runs. Austin Hornstein had two hits.

■ Clifton Central 12, Cissna Park 3. Trace Nims was 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Timberwolves. Jake Montgomery had a hit and an RBI. Jacob Marquez and Josh Marquez combined for six strikeouts.

■ St. Joseph-Odgen 14, Fisher 0. Brock Immke struck out six in a one-hit shutout for the host Spartans. Immke had two RBI. Chase Gadau homered and had three RBI. Alex Hager had two RBI.

■ Watseka 9, Iroquois West 6. The host Warriors rallied by scoring three runs in the sixth inning. Austin Hasselbring had two hits and three RBI. Tyler LaVoie was 3 for 3. Caleb Parker was 2 for 2. Cody Scott had two hits and scored three runs. Hasselbring and LaVoie combined for 14 strikeouts. Jake Schroeder was 2 for 4 and scored a run for Iroquois West. Clark Fink scored two runs.

■ Maroa-Forsyth 8, Tuscola 3. Austin Martin was 2 for 3 for the Warriors. Tristan Williams had two hits.

■ Paris 14, Schlarman 4. Johnny Carnahan had a hit and two RBI for the Hilltoppers. Mason Gard had a hit and an RBI. Gavin Gard had a hit and scored a run. Sam Jones and Ethan Brown each scored a run.

In softball
■ Watseka 19, Iroquois West 2. The Warriors scored 14 runs in the first two innings. Katie McTaggart had three hits and four RBI. Taylor Bauer was 2 for 4 with three RBI. Cassandra Crook scored three runs. Hayley Gray allowed five hits and struck out five. Grace Schroeder was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Iroquois West. Savannah Mims and Taylor Lund had one hit apiece.

■ Schlarman 10, Oakwood 0. Maria Rangel allowed four hits in a complete-game shutout. Maisey Johnson was 4 for 5 with three RBI for the Hilltoppers. Oakwood’s Rhylee Kerst was 1 for 3 with a double.

■ Clinton 13, Fisher 1. The Maroons had 14 hits. Megan Tool was 3 for 4 and homered twice. Mally Hickman had two hits, including a home run. Alexis Estes had four strikeouts in her second win.

■ St. Thomas More 9, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 1. Leah Allison allowed two hits and struck out 11 for the Sabers. Allison had three RBI. Lauren Croft was 4 for 4. Andie Bolton recorded a double.  

■ Armstrong-Potomac 5, Hoopeston Area 0. A-P’s Morgan Zindars had 12 strikeouts in a five-hit shutout. Makenzie Vinson had two hits and two RBI.  
■ Villa Grove/Heritage 12, Blue Ridge 7. VG/H scored 12 runs in the last four innings for the comeback win. Miranda Pruitt had three hits and scored three runs. Micaela Childress was 3 for 4. Kelsey Dees, Taylor Pruitt and Alix Ezell had two hits apiece. Kylee Beck scored two runs for Blue Ridge. Cheye Beres and Liz Cordes each had one hit.

■ Mahomet-Seymour 10, Prairie Central 4. The Bulldogs recorded 15 hits. Ashley Anglin had two hits and scored two runs. Alyssa Spoerer was 2 for 5 with a first-inning home run. Emily Ziegler had two hits and three RBI. Emma Vallee, Jessica Hammack and Allison Herman had two hits apiece. Madison O’Donnell had five strikeouts for M-S.

In soccer
■ Danville First Baptist 2, Normal Calvary 0. Amy Montgomery scored two goals for the host Knights. Ashley Greazer had two assists. Mattie
Bumpus had seven saves in the shutout.

■ Central 4, Urbana 0. Maddy Chalifoux scored four goals for the Maroons. Claire Redden had two assists. Maria Jiminez had one assist. Abi Manaster recorded three saves.  

■ Urbana Uni High 7, Monticello 2. Grace Lilly scored three goals and had an assist for the Illineks. Carissa Hwu scored two goals and added an assist. Lilly Bralts-Kelly had two goals. Cassie Reinbold and Kia Smith each scored a goal for the Sages.

■ Decatur Lutheran 5, Judah Christian 0. Cara Nash had 23 saves for the Tribe.

■ Normal Community 4, Centennial 0. Devin Kyler had 10 saves for the Chargers.

■ Mahomet-Seymour 4, Bloomington Central Catholic 1. Sarah VanWingerden scored a goal in each half for the Bulldogs. Catherine McHale and Brianna Haney each scored a goal. Aleyna Brunner had two assists. The Bulldogs allowed three shots on goal. Tori Rolson had two saves.

In track & field
■ At Normal West. Urbana placed fourth at the five-team meet. Shelby Burgin won the 100-meter hurdles (18.80 seconds). Amber Marion took second in the 400 for the Tigers (1 minute, 5.02 seconds). Hannah King finished third in the discus (115 feet, 1 inch).

■ At Catlin. Wyatt Avenatti won the 400-meter and 800-meter events for Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman. Salt Fork’s Nick Hedges won the 100-meter and 200-meter events.

In tennis
■ At Urbana. Travis Tressler won a singles and doubles match to lead St. Thomas More to a 5-4 victory against Urbana. Tressler defeated the Tigers’ Sami Messai (6-2, 6-0) in singles competition. Tressler won the doubles match with Josh Stringer (6-2, 6-2). Colin Kelley won a singles match (6-3, 6-2) and a doubles match with Jesse Dankle (4-6, 7-5, 10-7) for STM. Urbana’s Changhee Lee won a singles match (6-4, 6-2) as did Akena Sponslar (6-1, 6-0).

■ At Normal Community. The Maroons won every singles match in straight sets en route to a 7-2 victory against the Ironmen. Nikhil Thope and Ian Gidcomb combined for Central’s only win in doubles (6-4, 6-3).
