Monday's prep highlights: Turner fans 14 for Oakwood

In baseball
■ Oakwood 12, Bismarck-Henning 1. The Comets scored in every inning. Taylor Turner struck out 14 in the complete-game shutout. Hunter Phelps was 3 for 4. Landon Turner, Skyler Slade and Alex Anderson had two RBI apiece. Kyle Girton, Blake Vinson and Wade Abbott each had one RBI.

■ Salt Fork 23, Hoopeston 1. The Storm scored 16 runs in the third inning. Ross Learnard allowed two hits and struck out 12. Max Stutsman had three hits. Cole Taylor was 4 for 4 with a home run.  

■ Villa Grove/Heritage 12, Arcola 1. Dalton James and Spenser Eversole combined to allow four hits for VG/H. Chance Lemmon was 2 for 3. Seth Still had one RBI for Arcola. Clayton Strader, Daniel Mendoza, Devin Warren and Richard Jaeger had one hit apiece.

■ St. Joseph-Ogden 14, Watseka 1. Cole Berry allowed two hits and struck out six in four innings for the visiting Spartans. Chase Gadau was 3 for 4 with two RBI, two runs and one stolen base. Jake Stewart had two hits and three runs. Will Lyznicki was 2 for 3 for the Warriors.

■ Tuscola 6, Central A&M 3. Nick Bates was 2 for 3 with a three-run home run and four RBI for the host Warriors. Cole Evans, Tommy Watson and Devin Rose had two hits apiece.

■ Rantoul 4, Mattoon 2. The host Eagles’ two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning was the difference. Kyle Flessner had a double and two RBI. Tanner McLain had two hits and two runs.

■ Monticello 11, Maroa-Forsyth 4. Matt Crook struck out 10 for the host Sages. Crook was 3 for 4 with two RBI. Ryne Bundy had two hits. Nathan Mumm had one hit and two RBI. Jacob Burton had one hit and two RBI.

■ Fisher 3, Ridgeview 2. Grant Pointer had 11 strikeouts and allowed two hits in a complete game for the host Bunnies. Brad Pettenger was 2 for 3 with one run. Ryne Klintworth had two RBI for the Mustangs.

■ St. Teresa 5, Unity 2. Mitchell Snodgrass struck out 11 for the host Rockets. Zack Gadbury had two hits and one run. Jordan Fisher had one hit and one RBI.

■ Cerro Gordo/Bement 13, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 0. Cole Blickensderfer struck out nine in a one-hit shutout for CG/B. Chase McNamara was 3 for 3. Connor Gross, Nathan Lovekamp, Sean Reed and Ethan Morton had two hits apiece. Jeremy Plank was 1 for 2 for A-L/A-H.

■ Westville 10, Schlarman 0. Tanner Cox struck out 11 in a complete-game no-hitter. Tristan Flynn had two hits and two RBI, and Kyle Brazas had one hit and two RBI. Mark Strebin had one hit and two RBI. Jeffery Thompson had two hits and one RBI. Aaron Marx and Tyler Dicken had two hits apiece.

■ LeRoy 8, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 7. LeRoy rallied with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Bryce Dooley had two hits and three runs. Ethan Bryant and Trae Moberly each had two hits. Axel Doran, Jake Brewer and Rhett Brucker had two hits apiece for GCMS.

■ Clinton 6, Warrensburg-Latham 4. The Maroons scored twice in the top of the ninth inning. Mason Dial was 2 for 2 with one run. Trenten Fryman had two hits. Nolan Hickman had a double.

■ Bismarck-Henning 19, Oakwood 0. B-H scored 11 runs in the first two innings. Phoenix LaCombe allowed three hits in a shutout. Masyn Clow had six RBI.

■ Villa Grove/Heritage 9, Arcola 2. Myranda Mayhall had two hits and two RBI for the host Blue Devils. Becky Bishop was 2 for 4. Micaela Childress had five strikeouts. Taylor Edwards had two hits for Arcola. Edwards struck out 10. Kauryn Karmazinas was 1 for 3.

■ Salt Fork 15, Hoopeston 0. Logan Sanford allowed two hits in a complete-game shutout. Sanford had two hits and two RBI. Lea Hall had two hits, including a home run, and three RBI. Emilie McFadden had three RBI. Lexie Smith had two hits and one RBI.

■ Armstrong-Potomac 7, Milford 4. Morgan Zindars struck out seven for A-P. Ashley Gayheart was 3 for 4 with two RBI. Megan Cain had two hits and two RBI. Mindy Garrelts struck out eight for the Bearcats. Garrelts was 3 for 4 with an RBI and one run. Cornisha Allen had two hits and two runs.

■ Shiloh 18, Martinsville 2. The Raiders scored 17 runs in the first two innings. Jessica Hunt struck out five and allowed one hit. Hunt had three runs and four stolen bases. Tori Stierwalt had two hits and three runs. Lauren Moses had two hits and two runs. Katie Fitzpatrick had two hits and two runs.

■ Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman 5, Watseka 2. Lexi Sliva had two hits, two RBI and one run. Megan Burris was 3 for 3 with four stolen bases. Tristyn Mingee had one hit and one RBI. Hannah Glascott had one hit, two RBI and one run. Macey Alexander had one hit and one RBI. Hayley Gray had two hits for the Warriors. Samantha Hodolitz had one hit and two RBI. Katie McTaggart, Devin Curry and Colleen Suchy had one hit apiece.

■ Mahomet-Seymour 8, Central 4. The Bulldogs’ four runs in the eighth inning were the difference. Lucy Stahl had four RBI. Emily Ziegler had two RBI. Emma Vallee and Madeline Odle had one RBI apiece. Reni Nugent homered for the Maroons. Jennifer Sola had two RBI. Madison Omer had one RBI.

■ Monticello 19, Central A&M 1. The host Sages scored 12 runs in the second inning. Chrissy Gadbury was 3 for 4 with a home run and six RBI. Samantha Valentine had three hits and three RBI. Emily Chitwood had three hits, including a home run, and five RBI.

■ Rantoul 14, Urbana 3. Jordan Smith allowed three hits and struck out six for the host Eagles. Allison Jordahl and Taylor Egerton had two hits and three RBI apiece. Kaylee Denton had two hits, two RBI and three runs. Rheanna Jones had two hits and two RBI. Chelsea Skinner had one RBI for the Tigers.

■ Danville 6, Paris 2. Megan Burton, Alissa Peelman and Kennedy Richards each had two hits for the host Vikings.

■ Clinton 15, Warrensburg-Latham 4. The Maroons scored at least two runs in every inning. Haley Ginger was 4 for 4 with a home run. Megan Tool had three hits and two RBI. Haley Toohill had three hits.

■ Tuscola 10, Sullivan 0. Anna Watson had three hits and two stolen bases for the Warriors. Karli Allen was 2 for 3 with a home run. Madeline Meinhold had two hits. Erin Walker and Morgan Little had two hits apiece. Sullivan’s Liz Inman and Abby Elzy each had two hits.

■ Schlarman 7, Westville 0. Maria Rangel allowed five hits and struck out four in a complete- game shutout.

In girls’ soccer

■ Bloomington 2, Danville 1. Elizabeth Rudolph scored a goal for the host Vikings.

In boys’ tennis

■ At Urbana. Hwanjae Yoo and Nikhil Thope led Central to an 8-1 victory against St. Thomas More. Yoo defeated Josh Stringer (6-0, 6-4) before winning a doubles match with Paul-Gabriel Mitchell (6-3, 6-1). Thope defeated the Sabers’ John Boyer (6-1, 6-2). Thope and Ian Gidcomb then won against Josh Stringer and Colin Kelley (6-0, 6-2). The Maroons’ only defeat was reigning sectional champion Austin Aten losing to Travis Tressler (7-6, 6-1).
