In baseball

Armstrong-Potomac 11, Westville 8. Shawn Reardon had a double and three RBI, while Zane Wright and Nick Cannon each drove in two runs for the host Trojans (3-10) in a Vermilion Valley Conference win. Hayden Davis chipped in two RBI for the Tigers (2-16).

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 15, Milford 2. Hunter Keith (3 for 3, four RBI) and Chase Rademacher (3 for 3, two RBI) keyed the five-inning VVC win for the host Blue Devils (11-7-1). Tyler Schmidt and Tyler Buhrmester each had two hits for the Bearcats (6-8).

Decatur Lutheran 11, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 1. Lucas Otto struck out six for the visiting Knights (4-8) in a six-inning loss.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 10, Rantoul 3. Braden Roesch connected for three hits and two RBI for the visiting Falcons (7-9). Hayden Cargo had two RBI for the Eagles (6-7).

LeRoy 3, Lexington 0. Will Dooley struck out 10 in throwing a shutout for the host Panthers (13-4) in a Heart of Illinois Conference win.

Paris 11, Villa Grove/Heritage 5. Keagan Patterson went 2 for 4 with three RBI for the Hawks (10-10) in a road loss.

Ridgeview 12, Fisher 5. Jalen Duncan had four RBI for the Mustangs in an HOIC road win, while Tyler Martin had three hits for Fisher (4-9-1).

St. Joseph-Ogden 7, Unity 2. Austin Cain struck out six in 5 2 / 3 innings of work, Tyler Slagley went 3 for 3 with three RBI and the visiting Spartans (15-8) earned an Illini Prairie Conference win. Logan Flesch (2 for 4, RBI) paced the Rockets (4-10).

Sullivan 7, St. Teresa 0. Luke Harlin (six-hit shutout) and Spencer Johnson (2 for 4, two RBI) helped Sullivan (5-9) post a Central Illinois Conference home win.

Tri-Valley 6, Blue Ridge 5. Sam Duggins (2 for 4, two RBI) led the host Knights (9-12), but Blue Ridge couldn't hold on to a 5-3 lead in an HOIC setback.

Tuscola 13, Clinton 2. Lucas Kresin (3 for 4, three RBI) and Dalton Hoel (3 for 4, three runs scored) carried the visiting Warriors to a CIC win, the 14th straight win for Tuscola (21-2). Matthew Overton and Tyler West had two hits for Clinton (4-7).

In softball

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvinm 11, Milford 1. Aniston Myers had three hits and three RBI to pace the Blue Devils (10-4) to a Vermilion Valley Conference home win, and Laynee Dickison struck out eight.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm 11, Schlarman 0. Whitny Harper threw a three-hit shutout and added two hits, while Kylie Johnson (2 for 3, three RBI) contributed for the host Buffaloes (11-5) in a VVC win.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 6, Olympia 5. Madi Eberle struck out 14, Makenzi Bielfeldt and Summer Roesch each had two hits and the Falcons (8-3-1) won on the road.

LeRoy 14, Ridgeview/Lexington 0. Kelly Smith and and Charly Warlow both hit home runs to lead the Panthers (11-9) to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory.

Maroa-Forsyth 4, Fisher 0. Sydney Eichelberger and Becca Clanton had the Bunnies' only hits as Fisher (14-5) lost on the road.

Normal Community 13, Champaign Central 0. Izabella Innes had the only hit for the host Maroons (2-8) in a Big 12 loss.

Oakwood 9, Salt Fork 8. Paiton Frerichs went 4 for 4 and brought home the game-winning run with a double as the host Comets won in walk-off fashion by scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh, ending Salt Fork's 14-game win streak. Jaycie Jenkins tied the VVC game with a two-out, two-run double to spark Oakwood (7-8). Reighan Barr (3 for 4, three RBI) led Salt Fork (14-2).

Villa Grove 19, Heritage 3. Molly Mixell (3 for 3, seven RBI), Madison Burwell (2 for 4, three RBI) and Addy Fisher (2 for 3, two RBI) led Villa Grove (19-3) to a five-inning road win against the Hawks (3-16).

Tri-Valley 12, Blue Ridge 0. Olivia Isaacs had two hits for the Knights (6-16) in an HOIC home loss.

Watseka 8, Paxton-Buckley-Loda 3. Kennedy Bauer (3 for 4, two RBI)) and Kadyn Stevens (3 for 3) led the host Warriors (8-5) to a Sangamon Valley Conference win. Sindra Gerdes and CJ Nuckols each had an RBI for PBL (4-10).

In track and field

At Mattoon. Champaign Central's Kai Baumgartner won both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles as well as the triple jump for the Maroons, while teammate Devin Edwards won both the 100 and long jump. Tuscola's Hunter Woodard won the shot put and discus.

At Mount Zion. Champaign Central's Chikako Barnes placed first in the 200-meter dash for the Maroons.

In boys' tennis

At Bloomington. Wade Baillon and Jake Sellett won in both singles and doubles to lead St. Thomas More past Bloomington Central Catholic, 5-4.

At Danville. Sam Norton and Jaren Hotsinpiller triumphed in both singles and doubles for Danville during a 7-2 win over Centennial.
