GCMS Regional

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 6, Prairie Central 3. Braden Roesch did a bit of everything for the top-seeded Falcons (19-4) in a semifinal victory over the No. 7 Hawks (11-14), driving in two runs and notching eight strikeouts in six innings pitched. Wade Burton also landed two RBI for GCMS, an output matched by PC's Carter Nowak. The Falcons will take on No. 4 Bloomington Central Catholic or No. 5 Tri-Valley in Saturday's 11 a.m. title affair.

Georgetown-RF Regional

Tuscola 5, Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman 2. Lucas Kresin made life tough on the eighth-seeded Buffaloes (11-12), giving the top-seeded Warriors (27-2) a full seven innings on the mound with 10 punchouts en route to a semifinal win. Brayden VonLanken homered and drove in three runs for Tuscola to counter an RBI from G-RF/C's Logan Dawson. The Warriors draw either No. 4 Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin or No. 6 Oakwood in Saturday's 11 a.m. title game.

Watseka Regional

Hoopeston Area 3, Olympia 2. After allowing the game-tying run in the seventh, the eighth-seeded Cornjerkers (14-22) completed the semifinal upset of a No. 2 seed when Lucas Hofer singled home Nick Hofer in the eighth. Cameron Flint recorded two RBI, while Graham Eighner and Lucas Hofer combined for 13 strikeouts. Hoopeston Area will square off with either No. 3 Paxton-Buckley-Loda or No. 6 Clifton Central in Saturday's 11 a.m. finale.

Class 1A

LeRoy Regional

LeRoy 10, Lexington 0. Logan Petersen doubled, tripled and carded four RBI for the No. 1-seeded Panthers (21-5), who eased past their sixth-seeded opponent in a six-inning semifinal. Mason Buckles contributed three RBI for LeRoy in support of Nate Sammer, who allowed three hits and struck out seven on the bump. The Panthers will meet either No. 3 Peoria Christian or No. 5 Heyworth in Saturday's 11 a.m. championship round.

Grant Park Regiona

Cissna Park 18, Donovan 2. Rudy King brought a big bat for the second-seeded Timberwolves (18-12) in a four-inning semifinal triumph over the No. 8 seed, smacking a grand slam, a two-run homer and a double to produce seven RBI. Mario Renteria added three RBI for Cissna Park, which will compete against No. 3 Illinois Lutheran or No. 6 Grant Park in Saturday's 10 a.m. championship event.

Mt. Pulaski Regional

Mt. Pulaski 12, Judah Christian 2. A nine-run third inning from the No. 1 seed did in the ninth-seeded Tribe (6-13) in semifinal action. Joe Myhre's one hit and one RBI paced Judah offensively.

Schlarman Regional

Salt Fork 12, Armstrong-Potomac 0. The top-seeded Storm (21-4) overwhelmed the Trojans (5-20) in a semifinal to advance to Saturday's 10 a.m. final.

Schlarman 3, Milford 0. The No. 5 Hilltoppers (9-15) pulled off a minor upset by seed but a bigger one by record, taking out the No. 4 Bearcats (17-9) in another semifinal to draw a 10 a.m. Saturday matchup with Salt Fork.

Nontournament

Paris 14, Clinton 4. Drew Stacey posted a 3-for-4 hitting day with a double, but the visiting Maroons (8-10) couldn't slow their nonconference opponent in a six-inning affair.

GCMS Regional

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 4, Tri-Valley 0. The third-seeded Falcons (16-7) rode Madi Eberle's dominant arm and potent bat past a No. 5 seed and into Saturday's 11 a.m. championship event. Eberle was tagged for just one hit while fanning 14 in a complete-game showing that she supported with a two-run homer. No. 2 Bloomington Central Catholic awaits in the final.

Watseka Regional

Wilmington 3, Watseka 0. Magan Harris gave the sixth-seeded Warriors (15-10) a shot to defeat their third-seeded enemy, striking out 11 in the circle but taking a tough-luck loss in the semifinals. Harris, Teagan Cawthon and Cassie Peters each swatted a hit for Watseka.

Prairie Central Regional

Prairie Central 10, Lexington/Ridgeview 0. Heidi Meister hurled a six-inning one-hitter for the fourth-seeded Hawks (17-14), who overwhelmed the eighth-seeded Minutemen in a semifinal. Addison Casner, Lindsey Hari, Natalie Graf and Kenna Skaggs all boasted two RBI for PC, which draws No. 1 Olympia in Friday's 4:30 p.m. finale.

Class 1A

Heyworth Regional

LeRoy 3, Blue Ridge 2. Hailie Hahn accounted for two RBI on as many hits to help the third-seeded Panthers (23-9) stave off the fifth-seeded Knights (13-16) in the semifinal round. Pitching was the story otherwise, as LeRoy's Charly Warlow allowed three hits and struck out six in a complete-game effort, while Blue Ridge's Sydnee Evans scattered 10 hits but permitted just one earned run. LeRoy moves on to face No. 1 Heyworth in Friday's 4:30 p.m. title game.

Okaw Valley Regional

Central A&M 8, Arcola 0. The sixth-seeded Purple Riders (12-13) couldn't get anything going offensively, suffering a semifinal loss to a No. 3 seed. Lindsey Helmuth collected Arcola's lone hit on the day.

Nontournament

Rantoul 17, Danville 6. Jenna Sanford compiled three hits, four RBI and four runs for the host Eagles (10-16) in their third consecutive victory, coming over the Vikings (10-8) in nonconference play. Kristen Fauser added two hits and four RBI for Rantoul, which received another three RBI from Kianna Berlatsky. Miya Pendleton homered for Danville.

Normal U-High Regional

Normal U-High 4, Champaign Central 0. The fifth-seeded Maroons (8-10-1) again struggled with their third-seeded foe, falling to the Pioneers in a semifinal after losing to Normal U-High 5-0 in mid-April.
