Late woes for Salt Fork are costly in setback

BLOOMINGTON — Gage Romack cleanly fielded the hard groundball hit to him on one hop.

The Salt Fork senior third baseman gathered himself, stepped toward first base and unleashed a throw he's done hundreds, if not thousands, of times before.

There's no saying if that's how Bloomington Central Catholic jumped out to a 2-0 lead through one inning Wednesday afternoon versus St. Joseph-Ogden, but there was no doubt the Saints were looking to set a tone.
