Bolson, Panthers clip St. Thomas More

MONTICELLO – Dan Bolsen scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Lovington past St. Thomas More 60-52 on Thursday at the Monticello Holiday Hoopla tournament.

Dalton Allyn added 10 points for the Panthers.

Justin Koerner scored a team-high 18 points for the Sabers.

In another matchup, Allyn scored a team-high 15 points for Lovington in a 68-52 loss to Ridgeview. Brandon Giorgi added 14 points for the Panthers.

Bradley Ghere scored 23 points to lead the Mustangs.

In another game, Corbin Sebens scored a game-high 27 points for host Monticello in a 56-47 win against Ridgeview. Neal Phelps added 11 points for the Sages. Aaron Coile and Derek Powell each had 10 for the Mustangs.

In later action, Phelps scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds to power Monticello in a 62-54 win against St. Thomas More. Curtis Leischner had nine points for the Sages.

Koerner again scored 18 points for the Sabers

In another game, Josh Lytel tallied 11 points for Blue Ridge in a 45-29 loss to Neoga. The Knights scored four third-quarter points and had no points from their bench.

In a later contest, Blake Bassett and Clayton Meyer each tallied 20 points for Tuscola, lifting the Warriors to a 70-39 win against Tri-Point. Dane Winn contributed 14 for Tuscola.
