Tuesday's prep highlights: Farchmin propels M-S

In boys' basketball

Mahomet-Seymour 75, Pontiac 71. REID FARCHMIN led a balanced attack for the host Bulldogs, scoring a game-high 28 points to go along with 12 rebounds. BRAD IZATT had 18 points and eight assists, and BRAD HERMANN added 14 points.

St. Thomas More 58, Watseka 50. JAYCEE HILLSMAN led the way with 18 points and CORTEZ KING added 10 to lift the visiting Sabers. Watseka was led by DAULTON DePATIS and AUSTIN BLAIR, who scored 11 points apiece.

Judah Christian 64, Arthur Okaw Christian 47. MALIK WILLIAMS scored 19 points to go along with six assists and five steals to lead the visiting Tribe. ZACK DAY (12 points, seven rebounds) and KRYS McCLURE (12 points, six rebounds) also chipped in.

Westville 47, Heritage 38. ROBERT ELLIOTT scored 17 points and JEFFERY THOMPSON had 14, 11 coming on free throws, to lead the host Tigers. Heritage got 16 points from JOHN TAYLOR.

Ridgeview 56, Lexington 42. TREVOR McINTOSH made four three-pointers and scored a team-high 16 points to power the host Mustangs. JOSH WEIER (15 points, eight rebounds) and DANA BOSE (12 points, five rebounds) also contributed.

Fieldcrest 70, Blue Ridge 35. MIKE PLUNK led the visiting Knights with 14 points.

Heyworth 58, LeRoy 42. The host Panthers fell despite 10 points and six rebounds from SETH WARD.

St. Joseph-Ogden 66, Iroquois West 46. CHASE PATTON's 21 points led the visiting Spartans. BRENT SCHLUTER (12 points) and NATE MICHAEL (10) also reached double figures. KEATON ZIRKLE (19 points) and BEN WALL (16) led the Raiders.

Fisher 57, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 33. DYLAN CHAPMAN and HANS CARMIEN (10 rebounds) each had 16 points to lead the host Bunnies.

Oakwood 62, Villa Grove 44. CAMERON LEE (18 points) and KYLE ELLIOTT (15) led a balanced attack for the visiting Comets. ZACK GIRTON scored 11 and TYLER KNIGHT added 10. Villa Grove got 12 points from LUCAS VanDEVENTER and 10 from RYAN PEARCE.

Warrensburg-Latham 54, Clinton 49. MITCHELL CREAGER had 21 points and MATT CHANDLER scored 17 for the host Maroons.

In girls' basketball

St. Thomas More 43, Unity 26. ELAYNA KRAMER led the way with 13 points and LEXI WALLEN had 10 for the visiting Sabers, who used a 15-2 run in the second quarter to pull away.

Judah Christian 39, Arthur Okaw Christian 37. LESLEE CHAMBERS scored 17 points for the visiting Tribe, which got three three-pointers and nine points from MADDIE JOHNSON. MEGHAN LOWRY had 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Conquering Riders.

Warrensburg-Latham 56, Cerro Gordo 45. SHELBY BLACKER hit five three-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points in a losing effort for the Broncos at the Macon County Tournament in Moweaqua. ARIONNA GANT had 13 for the Broncos.

Maroa-Forsyth 59, Argenta-Oreana 44. KANDIE BLOCH scored a game-high 30 points in a losing effort for the Bombers in the Macon County Tournament contest. HANNAH MILLINGTON had 10.

Monticello 60, Villa Grove 51. ELISE PONTIOUS had team highs of 17 points and nine rebounds to lift the host Sages. CHRISSY GADBURY had 14 points and SARAH FORAN contributed 13. Villa Grove was led by LIZZY SMITH's 12 points.

In wrestling

At Westville. Bismarck-Henning picked up a 42-30 win against Westville/Salt Fork/Georgetown-Ridge Farm, thanks to a technical-fall win by DANNY FREEZOR, a major decision by ZACH MARTIN and a pin by K.C. NOEL.

At Gibson City. Mahomet-Seymour's TYLER MOXLEY, DEREK GRANT, TYLER MIDDLETON, AUSTIN ARMETTA and JEREMIAH BLACK all delivered pins in the Bulldogs' 48-18 win against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley/Fisher.

At Eureka. TATE RUFFNER, DEVIN BULINGTON, RANDY PUCKETT and BRADLEY SIMMONS all recorded pins for LeRoy in a 50-12 win against Eureka. TYLER WOOLRIDGE won by technical fall.
