In girls' basketball

Bismarck-Henning 44, Westville 33. LORI HAAS scored her 1,000th career point, finishing with 23, to lead the Blue Devils on the road. SAMANTHA SIDDENS had 10 points in the win. For Westville, DANIELLE GABEHART had 10 points and EMILEE JAMES had 12 rebounds.

Champaign Central 53, Danville 27. A quick start and a balanced scoring attack led the visiting Maroons to a commanding Big 12 win. JAKEENYA EVANS scored six of her 10 points in a 17-8 first-quarter run to spark the Maroons, who got 12 points from JOHYNN-A EVANS and 11 from CHEYENNE HEDRINGTON. J'LYNN AYERS paced Danville with 16 points.

Centennial 62, Normal Community 40. The host Chargers dominated the second half to stay undefeated in Big 12 play. STACIA SIMMONS led the way with 14 points and six rebounds. JASMINE KYLER (seven rebounds) and CHANTAL MEACHAM each added 10 points for Centennial, which got nine from CHELSEA CROSS.

St. Joseph-Ogden 60, Clifton Central 34. JOSEY FRUHLING scored nine of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Spartans posted a road win. HANNAH GAYLORD had 10 points.

Mahomet-Seymour 56, Rantoul 33. Freshman MADDIE SEE grabbed 20 rebounds and ALYSSA DROLLINGER had 11 points and five steals as the host Bulldogs pulled away in the second half of the Corn Belt game. KRISTEN BELYEA had 11 points and AMANDA WALLACE had five assists in the win. HANNAH WASCHER led Rantoul with 16 points.

Uni High 66, Cornerstone Christian 24. JAMIE BLUE had 26 points and eight rebounds as the Illineks took control with a 42-point first half. EMMA HOYER added 12 points and eight rebounds and JAKI VIPOND chipped in eight points, six assists and five rebounds.

G-RF 53, Schlarman 51. ALYSSA SAWYER and KAYLA WOLPERT each sank clutch free throws late in the game as host Georgetown-Ridge Farm rallied in the second half. Sawyer had 19 points and BRITTANY HAY had 16 in the win. TANNA PETERSAK led the Hilltoppers with 16 points and LAURA GROSS had 13.

Arcola 34, Arthur-Lovington 28. The host Purple Riders rode CARA EDWARDS' double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) and a solid all-around game from freshman TAYLOR EDWARDS (13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals). "At times it wasn't pretty, but our defense came through," Arcola coach NANCY STIFF said. "Overall, we had pretty good rebounding. We needed this win. Arthur is a tough team that won't give up." KARLY GOODMAN and SHERELLE COLLER each had eight for A-L.

Shiloh 51, Tri-County 39. LARISSA MOSES had 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Raiders outscored the Titans 32-16 in the second half. SHELBY SMITH added 14 points, BETSY BOGLE had 10 points and LAUREN MOSES chipped in nine rebounds and four assists. Tri-County got 14 points from AUTUMN MEYER and 12 from ABBY SMITH.

GCMS 51, Tremont 34. REGAN ROMSHEK scored 10 points and ANGEL GAESSER and LATOYA BAILLIE added nine apiece for host Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, which rallied from an 11-4 deficit.

Clinton 42, Tri-Valley 41. MORGAN HICKMAN scored 13 points and HALEY TOOHILL added 11 for the visiting Maroons.

Ridgeview 62, Monticello 49. MEGAN JONES scored 26 points as Ridgeview rallied from a halftime deficit to win on the road. TORI GADBURY led Monticello with 21 points. Teammate ELISE PONTIOUS had seven rebounds.

LeRoy 60, Fieldcrest 45. MOLLY MARCUM had 22 points, sinking four three-pointers, for visiting LeRoy. KELSEY WALKER added 18 points and SHANNON STEFFEN had eight.

Salt Fork 54, Hoopeston Area 47. The Storm held on at Jamaica. TAYLOR VICE led Salt Fork with 15 points and hit 4 of 4 fourth-quarter free throws. Five Cornjerkers scored at least three fourth-quarter points including SHELBY HOLZINGER, who totaled a game-high 18.

Unity 36, CPCI 28. KENNEDY HARTMAN and MADIE HERBERT each had 10 points for the Rockets.

Milford 54, Oakwood 41. Led by ASHLEN PORTWOOD's 18 points and KINSEY KNAUTH's 13, the Bearcats raced to an early lead in the road win. MAKENZIE BAKER led the Comets with 26 points.

Decatur LSA 53, Judah Christian 31. In Champaign, MADDIE JOHNSON scored 15 points and LESLEE CHAMBERS added 12 for the Tribe.

Cowden-Herrick 48, Sullivan 43. The Redskins' PAIGE NEUHAUSER scored 18 points in a road loss to a 14-1 Cowden-Herrick team.

Watseka 48, Iroquois West 46. DEVIN CURRY scored 16 points as the Warriors won in overtime. MORGAN SMALL had 11 points in the loss.

In boys' basketball

Judah Christian 53, Decatur LSA 45. MALIK WILLIAMS had 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Tribe. ETHAN CHITTY had 13 points and seven rebounds and KRYS McCLURE added 11 points and eight rebounds.

In wrestling

At Champaign. KENTON WALKER (120), JULIAN ANASTASIA (132), NATE VOLK (152), INDY WHALEN (160), BRANDON KLEIN (170) and JEROD RIVERA (182) had pins to lead Central past Mattoon 49-25 in Big 12 action.

At Fairbury. JACK MALONE (160) and SETH STEIDINGER (285) each had two pins as Prairie Central beat Paxton-Buckley-Loda and Heyworth.
