DANVILLE — Brandon Paul wasn't in the house Saturday afternoon, but Krystian Ingram turned in a look-alike performance.

Bismarck-Henning's Ingram torched Hoopeston Area for 33 points — hitting all five of his three-point attempts — as the top-seeded Blue Devils registered a 61-12 victory in the quarterfinals of the 93rd Vermilion County tournament.

Ingram didn't see Paul's 43-point outburst for the Illini last week, but he followed the same script. He was unstoppable before going to the bench to watch the final 11 minutes.

"In warmups," he said, "I wasn't ready. I was stiff. Didn't feel loose."

Before the game was 6 minutes old, he'd reached double figures. By halftime, he had 27 points.

"It was one of them special days," B-H coach Deon Mennenga said. "That's what a senior is supposed to do. I told him before we needed a great effort. He's as good athletically as there is around here."

The secondary story was B-H's defense, which allowed one first-half basket and forced 17 turnovers. Hoopeston made 4 of 23 shots.

"We said we need to come out and prove to people we belong and deserve the seeding we got," Mennenga said.

Armstrong-Potomac 47, Salt Fork 45. The Trojans trailed for more than 20 1/2 consecutive minutes before Shay Fitzsimmons hit 2 of 2 free throws with 1:06 left. His shots sent A-P ahead, 46-45, for the first time since a 15-14 second-period lead.

Salt Fork (11-7) held a 10-point lead, 40-30, with 5:25 remaining.

"This is a very confident group," A-P coach Brian Russell said. "We'd talked a big game. I told them it's time to go and show a big game."

Wade Rogers had 16 points and Fitzsimmons 13 points and a team-high seven rebounds for A-P. The Storm's Ross Learnard hit 18 points.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm 67, Milford 37. The Buffaloes took control with four three-pointers in the final three minutes of the first half. Ryan Dieu and Korie Vire — who combined to make eight three-pointers — each had two as G-RF broke from a 19-19 tie into a 33-24 lead at the break.

"This is our third year in the semis, most of them played before, and that will help us," Buffaloes coach Adam Latoz said. "They're hungry to get back in the title game."

Dieu and Vire each scored 15 points. Kyle Coburn had 13 and Matthew Hay 12 for G-RF (16-1).

Oakwood 42, Westville 38. The sixth-seeded Comets used their inside muscle to secure a semifinal berth. Skyler Slade and Cameron Lee combined for 26 rebounds (19 by Slade) and 21 points (12 by Lee).

"We emphasize every game our size advantage and work it into the post," Oakwood coach Doug Robinson said.

Westville, which had 16 rebounds, made all five of the game's three-pointers. Jeffrey Thompson scored 12 points and hit three treys.
