Tuesday's prep highlights: Judah bounces Urbana Uni
In boys' basketball
Judah Christian 49, Uni High 46. The host Tribe built a 38-30 lead after three quarters and held on for the East Central Illinois Conference tournament win.
MALIK WILLIAMS led Judah with 16 points and KRYS McCLURE added 11.
TAHAR BOWEN-PINTO was the only Urbana University High player in double figures with 21 points. He led the Illineks with eight rebounds, and BRANDON LIN added six. Uni High dropped to 16-7.
St. Thomas More 56, Blue Ridge 46. The visiting Sabers overcame a six-point deficit after one quarter, outscoring the Knights 36-23 after intermission.
JAYCEE HILLSMAN led St. Thomas More with 14 points.
TUCKER JOHNSON scored 17 points for Blue Ridge and MICHAEL PLUNK added 10.
Monticello 75, Maroa-Forsyth 72. RYAN DONOHUE and NICK STOKOWSKI combined for 47 points for the visiting Sages.
The teams were tied at 47 after three quarters before Monticello won the final eight minutes 28-25.
Donohue scored 25, hitting 5 of 5 three-pointers and 6 of 7 free throws. Stokowski scored 22 points and led Monticello with 14 rebounds. DALY O'BRIEN added 16 points for the Sages, hitting 12 of 15 free throws. Monticello outscored Maroa-Forsyth 30-9 at the line.
Bismarck-Henning 50, Salt Fork 27. The host Blue Devils took a 28-11 halftime lead on their way to their 25th win of the season.
KRYSTIAN INGRAM led Bismarck-Henning with 16 points and CHASE CONNELLY added 15.
MAX STUTSMAN led Salt Fork with nine points.
G-RF 69, Oakwood 58. KORIE VIRE and MATTHEW HAY combined for 49 points for the visiting Buffaloes.
Vire led Georgetown-Ridge Farm with 27 points and Hay added 22. They were the only two Buffaloes in double figures.
Oakwood led 46-44 going into the fourth quarter but was outscored 25-12 in the final eight minutes.
CAMERON LEE led Oakwood with 24 points. KYLE ELLIOTT scored 11 points and ZACK GIRTON added 10.
Arcola 74, Atwood-Hammond 34. The host Purple Riders jumped to a 39-21 halftime lead and rolled to their 13th win of the season.
COREY ROBERTS and BRETT LINDENMEYER led a balanced Arcola offense with 14 points each. PEYTON CONLIN scored 12 points and MARTY THOMAS added 10.
ANDY WEBB scored 12 points to lead the Rajahs.
PBL 59, Fisher 39. A 16-6 edge in the second quarter helped host Paxton-Buckley-Loda take control against the Bunnies.
TANNER HARRIS led the Panthers with 22 points and DAKOTA ZENNER added 13.
DYLAN CHAPMAN led Fisher with 17 points and TAW FREDRICKSON had 15.
Heritage 50, Villa Grove 51. On Senior Night, the lone Hawk who fit the description hit career highs in points and rebounds. WES GARMON scored 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for Heritage. Junior JOHN TAYLOR led the Hawks with 18 points.
GABE PALMER had 14 points for Villa Grove and CALEB MONTGOMERY added 11.
Arthur 61, Shiloh 47. CURTIS PLANK scored 19 points and two other players hit double figures for the host Knights. TYLER SCHURING had 16 points and ANDREW MAXWELL added 13 for Arthur.
COLE BOGLE led Shiloh with 12 points.
Westville 33, Chrisman 28. ROBERT ELLIOTT scored 14 points and KYLE BRAZAS added 12 for the visiting Tigers.
CHRIS HOULT led Chrisman with 12 points.
Manteno 41, Watseka 36. JAKE LYZNICKI had eight points, six rebounds and two steals for the visiting Warriors.
Okaw Valley 80, Tri-County 61. LUKE CLAPP scored 30 points for the visiting Titans and COLE LEWIS had 10.
Argenta-Oreana 45, Clinton 38. The visiting Bombers rallied from a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime and took the extra session 9-2. GREGG BOOMER led A-O with 16 points. MITCHELL CREAGER had 10 for the Maroons.
