In boys’ basketball

BCC 59, M-S 57.
Connor Diedrich and Brad Herrmann each scored 15 points for visiting Mahomet-Seymour against Bloomington Central Catholic. Sam Hohlfelder had 12 points and Matt Turner added 10 in the loss.

A-L 58, Bement 41. Nick Martina scored a game-high 15 points to lead host Arthur-Lovington. The Bulldogs received 12 points from Tyce Rittenhouse.

Oakwood 61, Villa Grove 59. Parker Lee poured in a game-high 23 points to lead the host Comets, who got 17 points from Kyle Elliott and 16 from Skyler Slade.

Decatur Lutheran 59, AOC 41. Wes Henningsen paced host Arthur Okaw Christian with 15 points.

B-H 53, Unity 41. Austin Toler led host Bismarck-Henning with 15 points. Wilde Garowski added 10 points. The Rockets were led by Josh Larson, who scored a game-high 17 points.

Tri-Point 60, Hoopeston Area 51. Mason Layden scored a game-high 25 points for the Cornjerkers at the Watseka Holiday Tournament.

In girls’ basketball

Arcola 58, Casey-Westfield 36.
Samantha Reece had 15 points and eight rebounds for the host Purple Riders, who were led by Taylor Edwards’ double-double (22 points, 14 rebounds).

Meridian 59, Cerro Gordo/Bement 55. Stephanie Shook had 16 points and Arionna Gant added 14 points and nine boards in the loss. Kristie Krigbaum also had nine rebounds.

In wrestling

At Gibson City.
Gage Adams (106 pounds),  Dylan Donner (132) and Jacob Franklin (220) won by pinfall in Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley/Fisher’s 52-20 victory. Clinton received pins from Kye Reczek (160) and Arthur Hill (195)

At Streator. Jeff Leach (120), Luke Sieving (145) and John Kupferschmid (182) won by pin for Prairie Central in its 34-33 victory.

At Petersburg. Ty Sandy (220), Tyler Walsh (113), Brock Danko (120) and Austin Matlock (132) earned pinfall victories for LeRoy in its 51-19 triumph against PORTA.

At Bismarck. Danny Feezor (120), Davin Huber (126) and Morgan Supergan (285) won by pin, leading Bismarck-Henning to a 47-33 victory against Salt Fork/Westville/G-RF, which got pins from Demarco Brown (106) and Cody Rice (145).
