Saturday's prep highlights: Bement gets back on track

In boys’ basketball
St. Teresa Holiday Tournament

Bement 59, Okaw Valley 55. CONNOR GROSS scored 16 points, ETHAN MORTON had 14 and TYCE RITTENHOUSE added 12 for the Bulldogs.

Riverton 77, Cerro Gordo 55. Nathan Lovekamp led the Broncos with 19 points.

Delavan 67, Unity 56. Zack Thorson had a game-high 18 points for the visiting Rockets, who got 15 points from Matt Restad.

In girls’ basketball
Centennial 63, Bloomington 38. CHANTAL MEACHAM led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points. Chelsea Cross and Nikki Bilger each added nine points as 12 players scored.

Danville 46, MacArthur 28. ALEXUS JIMSON-MILLER scored 11 points and MICHAELA JONES had 10 points, five assists and four steals. LYNETTE BUGGS added 10 rebounds and seven points for Danville. The Vikings (9-2 overall, 5-1 Big 12) have won six in a row.

Normal West 62, Central 45. Laura Litchfield had 20 points, five rebounds and five assists for host Champaign Central.

Watseka 56, A-P 41. DEVIN CURRY had 31 points and five steals to lead the Warriors, who got 15 points and eight rebounds from HAYLEY GRAY. ERIKA SIEBERNS and RACHEL MILES each scored 12 points and MORGAN ZINDARS had 11 for Armstrong-Potomac.

Okaw Valley Tournament
Blue Ridge 48, Okaw Valley 39. Jamison Brandt had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Knights, who got 16 points and nine boards from Gabby Pearl.

Clinton 61, Decatur Lutheran 14. Megan Tool led a balanced attack for the Maroons with 13 points. Haley Ginger added 12, and Haley Toohill and Payton Bieber had 10 apiece.

Heritage 62, A-O 53. Dallas McCormick had 21 points for the Hawks, who got 20 points and four steals from Cedar Richardson. Kandie Bloch paced Argenta-Oreana with 24 points.
