In boys’ basketball

State Farm Classic
Mahomet-Seymour 65, Chillicothe IVC 62. The Bulldogs went on a 22-8 run in the fourth quarter to force overtime and prevailed behind 26 points from CONNOR DIEDRICH and 22 from SAM HOHLFELDER.

North Lawndale 53, Centennial 43. MICHAEL FINKE scored 16 points to lead the Chargers. DEDRIC BYRD chipped in with eight.

St. Joseph-Ogden 76, Peoria Christian 48. CHASE PATTON scored 25 points to lead a balanced Spartans attack. BRENT SCHLUTER added 16, and CORBIN HESTERBERG had 11.

St. Thomas More 57, Olympia 40. STORM JOOP led the way with 17 points and KYLER JONES had 12 to power the Sabers. JOSHUA KOERNER added 10, and KEVIN CARROLL had nine.

Cissna Park 62, El Paso-Gridley 54. COLE HASSELBRING went 7 of 7 from the free throw line en route to scoring a game-high 21 points to lead the Timberwolves. ALEX RABE (13 points), BEAU ANDERSON (11) and BEN JENNINGS (10) also reached double figures.

Fieldcrest 46, Prairie Central 33. LANE MAURER scored 12 points and ED SHAFER added eight for the Hawks in the loss.

Centralia Tournament
Cahokia 72, Champaign Central 54. KAMERON ROWAN scored 14 points to go along with six assists and five steals for the Maroons, who trailed by 14 at halftime. XAVIER MARTIN added 11 points, and CHRISTOPHER HUTCHINSON had 10.

Collinsville Tournament
East St. Louis 65, Urbana 39. DONALD McKINLEY scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Tigers, who were outscored 46-14 in the paint by East St. Louis. CONNER GREMER added eight points and seven rebounds.

Pontiac Tournament
Peoria Manual 72, Danville 65. The Vikings, who led 38-29 at the break, couldn’t hold on despite 14 points from TE VON HUTCHERSON. JARHED WATSON added 13, DENZEL SMITH had 12 and MARCUS MERRIWEATHER had 11 for Danville.

Tri-County Tournament
Windsor 58, Tri-County 47. WYATT FLESNER scored 16 points for the Titans, who trailed 33-14 at the half.

Paris 45, Westville 22. The Tigers got a team-high eight points from LAYN WHITE.

Arthur-Lovington 68, Stewardson-Strasburg 55. The Knights prevailed behind 21 points from ANDREW MAXWELL, who scored 13 points in the second half. TYLER SCHURING added 12 points and CLAYTON HONN had 11.

Williamsville Tournament
LeRoy 51, Roanoke-Benson 46. The Panthers used a balanced scoring attack led by NICK AUPPERLE and COLE PLIURA, who each scored 13 points. DREW RUCKMAN added 11 and DALTON STEWART scored 10.

Midwest Central 52, Sullivan 48. ANDY BROWN scored 13 points and MITCH MOLZEN added 11 for the Redskins in the loss.

South Fulton 65, Clinton 48. The Maroons, who trailed 34-20 at halftime, got 15 points from JACOB OVERTON.

Taylorville Tournament
Charleston 62, Rantoul 60. JOHNNY JONES made 3 of 4 three-point attempts en route to scoring a game-high 23 points for the Eagles. TALON HARDIN added 14 and WAYLIN WILLIAMS had 10 for Rantoul, which got nine rebounds from GREG MORROW and seven from CORD CHURCH.

Mattoon 56, Rantoul 54. JOSH OLIVERAS scored a team-high 10 points for the Eagles, who lost on a tip-in basket on a three-quarter-court pass with 0.7 second left.

Dieterich Tournament
Dieterich 57, Arcola 42. Freshman KOLLIN SEAMAN led the Purple Riders with 17 points.

In girls’ basketball

State Farm Classic
Centennial 41, Normal U-High 37. KATELYNN MARTINEZ scored a game-high 12 points while CHANTAL MEACHAM and STACIA SIMMONS each added eight for the Chargers.

Prairie Central 58, Sterling Newman 29. LAURA CRANE erupted for a game-high 27 points to pace the Hawks, who outscored Newman 39-19 in the final three quarters.

Tri-Valley 46, St. Joseph-Ogden 44. BAILEY TRIMBLE scored 15 for the Spartans, who led 34-33 entering the fourth quarter.

St. Joseph-Ogden 45, Rock Falls 42. Trimble and ASHLEY LANDIS each scored 18 points to power the Spartans.

Peoria Manual Tournament
Peoria Manual 67, Schlarman 52. The Hilltoppers got 21 points from SIERRA BELL and 10 from JANELLE MARION.

Moline 37, Danville 26. BREANNA KEYS led the Vikings, who were outscored 14-7 in the third quarter, with eight points.

Springfield Southeast 74, Schlarman 50. Bell led the way with 15 points, while HOLLY HUCKSTADT and SYDNE BRYANT scored nine apiece for Schlarman.

Limestone 33, Danville 28. ALEXUS JIMSON-MILLER paced the Vikings with 14 points.

Holiday Hoopla Tournament
Sherrard 66, Ridgeview 37. The Mustangs, who were outscored 32-11 in the second half, got 10 points from RACHELLE WEBER.

Mount Zion 45, Tuscola 41. The Warriors got 19 points from ERIN WEAVER and 10 from AMBER MILLER in the defeat.

Monticello 53, GCMS 48. LAYNE BUZAN poured in 23 points and ELISE PONTIOUS added 14 to lift the host Sages. The Falcons got six three-pointers and 23 points from ANNIE SCHULTZ. TAYLOR BOMA drilled three three-pointers and scored 15.

Sherrard 57, Tuscola 37. Miller and SUSAN PONDER each scored 11 points for the Warriors.

Ridgeview 42, Mount Zion 34. PAIGE JONES poured in 19 points and JENNA AYERS added nine for the Mustangs.

Charleston Tournament
Effingham 54, Rantoul 29. The Eagles got 17 points and 10 rebounds from HANNAH WASCHER in the defeat.

Charleston 61, Urbana 41. The Tigers got 15 points from JESSICA MACK (six rebounds) and 10 points from KRISTA BROOM.

Mattoon Tournament
Mahomet-Seymour 64, Decatur MacArthur 11. ALLISON FRITZ scored a game-high 13 points to power the Bulldogs, who led 19-0 after the first quarter and 48-4 entering the fourth quarter. MAGGIE SCHMIDT (11 points) and HANNAH CHARTER (10) also reached double figures for M-S.

Mahomet-Seymour 79, Cumberland 22. Schmidt led all scorers with 23 points, and the Bulldogs got 10 points apiece from MAKENZIE JOOP, KARLEE DEPPE and Charter.

Bismarck-Henning Classic
Watseka 56, Shiloh 47. HALEY GRAY poured in a game-high 20 points and DEVIN CURRY added 11 to lift the Warriors. Shiloh got 12 points from SHELBY SMITH and 11 from BETSY BOGLE.

Unity 43, Salt Fork 24. REBECCA MAXWELL scored a game-high 13 points for the Rockets, who outscored the Storm 31-14 in the second half to pull away. KENNEDY HARTMAN added 10 for Unity. JENNY KIMBRO and TAYLOR VICE each had five points to lead Salt Fork.

Fisher 40, Westville 29. CAITLIN COLE scored 11 points and HANNAH VARNER added 10 to lead the Bunnies. ASHLEY HOFFMAN’s 13 points paced Westville.

Seeger (Ind.) 53, Villa Grove 39. COURTNEY HELM scored 12 of her 19 points in the first half for the Blue Devils, who also got nine points from LIZZY SMITH.

North Vermillion (Ind.) 53, Watseka 50. Curry scored 15 points and Gray added 14 for the Warriors, who trailed 28-17 at halftime.

Shiloh 66, Westville 28. LAUREN MOSES scored 12 of her game-high 16 points in the second quarter to power the Raiders, who outscored Westville 25-8 in the period. MORGAN WOOD and BETHANY McGINNESS each scored 12 points. The Tigers got 10 points from DANI GABEHART.

Bismarck-Henning 29, Salt Fork 21. ADDIE VOYLES’ 10 points paced the Blue Devils in the win. Kimbro had five to lead Salt Fork.

Seeger (Ind.) 41, B-H 29. Voyles led the way with 13 points for the Blue Devils, who were outscored 11-4 in the third quarter.

North Vermillion (Ind.) 48, Fisher 35. The Bunnies got 13 points from Cole.

Villa Grove 39, Unity 27. The Blue Devils jumped to a 19-8 lead at halftime and picked up the win behind 19 points from Helm and nine from KAYLA DOWLER. Unity got 11 points from Hartman.

Edwardsville Tournament
Champaign Central 53, Rockford Auburn 49. LAURA LITCHFIELD led the way with 16 points and AIRIANA SMITH added 13 to lift the Maroons.

Chatham Glenwood 40, Central 33. Litchfield scored 12 points to pace the Maroons.

Dieterich Tournament
Arcola 62, North Clay 23. The Purple Riders led 37-7 at halftime and got a game-high 24 points from TAYLOR EDWARDS.

Okaw Valley Tournament
Argenta-Oreana 51, Tri-County 40. KANDIE BLOCH poured in 38 points to go along with 12 rebounds and six blocks to power the Bombers. Tri-County got 15 points from AMBER MEYER.

Clinton 61, Blue Ridge 31. HALEY TOOHILL (18 points) drilled four three-pointers and JESSICA SCOTT (17 points) made three treys to lift the Maroons, who got 11 points from HALEY GINGER. Blue Ridge was led by GABBY PEARL and JAMISON BRANDT, who each had nine points.

Heyworth 58, Heritage 40. The Hawks got 15 points from MARY HAPP in the defeat.

Sullivan 53, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 48. Three Redskins reached double figures, led by ASIA MORRISON’s 16 points. EMILY NEUHAUSER added 12 and ELISSA STEWART had 10. The Lancers got 15 points from KARLY GOODMAN, 12 from ASHLEY TABB and 10 from SHERELLE COLLER.

In wrestling

At Toledo. Unity’s CHANDLER COUSINS and CHRIS BRANSON each picked up a pair of wins by pinfall for the Rockets, who earned dual wins against Charleston and Effingham St. Anthony at Cumberland. Unity dropped duals to the host Pirates and Herrin.
