Monday's prep highlights: Sabers set school mark for consecutive wins

In girls’ basketball

St. Thomas More 49, St. Joseph-Ogden 35. The visiting Sabers (18-1) earned their school-record 15th straight win behind Tori McCoy’s double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds). Randa Harshbarger added 11 points and seven rebounds for STM. Ashley Landis and Ashley Beals scored 10 points apiece for the Spartans.

Judah Christian 35, Decatur Christian 28. Christina Lee racked up 29 points to lead the visiting Tribe. Lee scored 16 points in the second and third quarters, when Judah outscored Decatur Christian 20-6 to take command.

Tri-County 57, Heritage 31. Abby Smith had 16 points and nine rebounds for the host Titans. AMber Meyer added 14 points for Tri-County. Dallas McCormick led Heritage with 13 points.

Cornerstone Christian Academy 30, Danville First Baptist  14. Hannah Wells scored all but two of First Baptist’s points in a home loss.

Buckley Christ Lutheran 58, Donovan 44. Andrea DeBella scored 20 of her game-high 34 points in the third period to help the visiting Crusaders pull away. DeBella also had six assists, and teammate Olivia Janssen contributed 14 points and five steals.

El Paso-Gridley 54, GCMS 28. Katie Massey and Taylor Boma combined for 15 points for the Falcons, who lost on the road.

Westville 37, Armstrong-Potomac 36. The Tigers outscored A-P 14-6 in the first quarter and held on for a home win. Ashley Hoffman had 16 points and seven rebounds for Westville, while Courtney Gabehart added 11 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Zindars paced the Trojans with 13 points.

Shiloh 51, Chrisman 14. The host Raiders rolled behind Morgan Wood’s 17 points and Shelby Smith’s 14. Lauren Moses added seven points, five rebounds and five blocks.

Heyworth 39, Ridgeview 23. The Mustangs led 11-9 after one quarter but were held to 12 points thereafter in a home loss. Rachelle Weber had eight points and Paige Jones grabbed nine rebounds for Ridgeview.

Lexington 47, Blue Ridge 41. The visiting Knights lost despite receiving a game-high 25 points from Jamison Brandt.

Monticello 47, Argenta-Oreana 37. Layne Buzan’s 16 points and nine rebounds propelled the host Sages. Allie Hislope also had nine boards for Monticello. A-O’s Kandie Bloch led all scorers with 18 points.

Hoopeston Area 51, Oakwood 46. The Cornjerkers, who trailed by 11 points through three quarters, outscored the Comets 25-9 in the fourth period to pull out a road win. Olivia Smith scored eight of her team-high 12 points for Hoopeston Area in the final quarter. Teammate Cayla Davis added eight points and 11 rebounds. Harlena Hardin led Oakwood with 18 points.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm 37, Bismarck-Henning 32. The Buffaloes outscored the Blue Devils 12-6 in the third quarter and held on for a home win. Maya Green scored 14 points for G-RF. Jessica Hall and Brooke Walsh combined for 21 points for B-H.

Cerro Gordo/Bement/DeLand-Weldon 58, Martinsville 40. Arionna Gant’s double-double (24 points, 16 rebounds) lifted the Broncos to a road victory. Jessica Blunt grabbed 15 boards for the visitors.

Tuscola 42, St. Teresa 27. Erin Weaver scored 18 points and Macie Edwards grabbed seven rebounds for the host Warriors.

Arcola 47, Okaw Valley 28. The Purple Riders rolled to a home win behind Taylor Edwards’ 13 points, nine steals, six rebounds and three assists. Cara Edwards had 14 points and six boards for Arcola.

Iroquois West 41, Milford 33. Morgan Small, with 11 points, led a balanced attack that carried the Raiders to a road win. Elena Sanchez and Taylor Cultra added 10 points apiece for IW. Cornisha Allen scored 14 points for Milford.

Villa Grove 61, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 52. Courtney Helm and Lizzy Smith combined for 39 points for the Blue Devils in a home victory. Sherelle Coller had 18 points and Ashley Tabb 16 for the Lancers.

Prairie Central 45, Pontiac 32. Kiana Coomber scored a game-high 15 points for the Hawks in a home win.

Clinton 56, Unity 22. Clinton outscored the Rockets 22-7 in the second quarter to take command in a home win. Megan Tool scored 14 points for the Maroons.

Sullivan 80, Shelbyville 30. The Redskins scored 26 points off 35 Shelbyville turnovers in rolling to a road win. Emily Neuhauser had 22 points, six steals and five rebounds for Sullivan.

Cissna Park 47, Momence 25. Addison Stoller had 17 points, 10 steals and six rebounds for the visiting Timberwolves.

In boys’ basketball

DeLand-Weldon 57, Urbana University High 28. Dee Woods, who finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds despite sitting out the fourth quarter, led D-W to a road win. Taharka Baraka had 12 points and four rebounds for the Illineks.

Cornerstone Christian Academy 67, Danville First Baptist 42. After a scoreless first quarter, Jonathan Garver racked up 23 points for First Baptist in a home loss.
