Recently: Reached the 1,000-point mark for his career with the 91st of the 93 points he scored in the GCMS Tournament, helping the Knights (4-0) to the team championship.

In his own words: “(The highlight) has to be what we did as a team. Goals as a team are more fulfilling; it’s so much better to hit a goal and share it with your fellow classmates and teammates.”

Derrick Rose is ... mentally strong.

My favorite athlete is ... my cousin, Jack Plunk.

Before a game, I’m listening to ... the band, Skillet.

After a game, I’m eating ... Casey’s pizza.

Toughest defender I’ve ever gone against ... Jack Plunk. We’ve been playing one-on-one for 17 years, and he knows all my moves.

I sent my last text to ... my brother, Mark.

My first job was ... Pollinator at Pioneer at Ivesdale

In five years ... Getting ready to graduate from college, after playing college basketball, and looking to get a good start on life

Recently: Amassed 122 points in five games as the fifth-ranked Class 2A Warriors (5-0) won team honors in the Cissna Park Tournament.

In her own words: “We are very excited. We’ve tried for four years and finally got our championship that we were hoping for (at Cissna Park). Some of us played together the last couple years, but there are a bunch of new people we’re trying to incorporate, and we definitely had to learn how to start playing together.”

Toughest defender I’ve ever gone against ... Randa Harshbarger, St. Thomas More

My first job was ... working at Big R in Watseka.

Next year ... Playing basketball somewhere (undecided) and majoring in exercise science or education

In five years ... Hopefully being done with school and getting a job

Watseka is ... a fun place to be; everybody has the school spirit, and it’s a lot of fun.
