Saturday's prep highlights: Williamsville tops SJ-O
In boys’ basketball
■ Williamsville 51, St. Joseph-Ogden 38. No. 5 St. Joseph-Ogden (21-3) was outscored 22-8 in the third quarter and lost to No. 17 Williamsville in the Riverton Shootout. Brent Schluter scored 14 points and Nate Michael 10 for the Spartans. Six-foot-8 Tyler Burdine scored 13 points for Williamsville (20-3).
■ Shiloh 60, Arcola 55. Andrew Donithan scored 10 of his team-high 21 points in the final quarter as the Raiders (17-6) won in Arcola. Cyrus Furgeson had 18 points and Eli Furgeson 13 for Shiloh. Arcola’s Kollin Seaman (four first-period three-pointers) scored a team-high 31 points.
■ St. Thomas More 72, Watseka 47. The Sabers kept their hopes for a Sangamon Valley Conference title intact by winning a road game. Doug Wallen had 20 points and eight rebounds. Joel Yumba had 17 points.
■ Fieldcrest 69, Blue Ridge 56. Michael Plunk scored 23 points and Will Duggins had 13 for Blue Ridge.
■ Paxton-Buckley-Loda 55, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 48. Jay Eshleman and Tyler Rubarts each scored 16 points for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, which won at Gibson City. Eshleman hit four first-quarter treys.
■ Arthur-Lovington 60, Illini Bluffs 57. Jeremy Plank scored 16 points and Curtis Plank had 13 points and nine rebounds for Arthur-Lovington, which topped Illini Bluffs in the Illini Central Shootout at Mason City. Tyler Schuring had 12 points and five assists for A-L (20-2).
■ Cerro Gordo/Bement 87, Havana 55. Connor Gross hit six three-pointers and hit a game-high 20 points for the Broncos (20-5) at the Illini Central Shootout. Cole Blickensderfer scored 19 points.
■ La Salette 53, Muskegon (Mich.) Catholic Central 49. Dominick Martin scored 19 points, Sam Thomet added 11 and Spencer Thomet scored nine as the Lions (14-9) won in Michigan.
■ Cissna Park 69, Armstrong-Potomac 55. Ben Jennings scored 15 points and Matt Birr had 14 for Cissna Park. Dentler Loschen led visiting A-P with 15 points.
■ Judah Christian 88, Decatur Christian 22. Dylan Hamilton scored 18 points as the Tribe (14-11) won its East Central Illinois Conference Tournament opener in Normal.
■ Normal Calvary 37, DeLand-Weldon 31. Dee Woods scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds for the Eagles, who lost their ECIC opener.
■ Cornerstone 63, Uni High 38. Isaak Haberman led Uni with nine points in a quarterfinal ECIC loss.
