Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 50, Tuscola 47. Will Cohan (15 points) and Kobe Wells (13 points) carried the visiting Knights (2-3) to a nonconference triumph. Jacob Kibler led Tuscola (0-2) with a team-high 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 68, Hoopeston Area 65. Drew Reifsteck (19 points), Wyatt Edwards (17 points) and Hunter Keith (14 points) led the host Blue Devils (5-2) to a Vermilion Valley Conference overtime win. Logan Walder and Ryan Drayer each connected for 16 points to pace the Cornjerkers (6-2).

Cissna Park 81, Armstrong-Potomac 49. Christian Stadeli powered the host Timberwolves (1-1) to a nonconference win with a game-high 30 points and Bailey Sluis drained five three-pointers en route to 17 points. Shawn Reardon led A-P (2-6) with 20 points.

Danville First Baptist 64, Calvary Baptist 44. The hosts prevailed thanks to 19 points from Kris Dixon, 15 points from Nate Cundiff and 14 points from Elijah Tidwell.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 56, Tri-Valley 47. Ryland Holt delivered a game-high 15 points and Connor Birky came through with 14 points — all in the second half on the strength of four three-pointers — to spark the host Falcons (5-1) to a Heart of Illinois Conference win.

Heyworth 68, Blue Ridge 44. The host Knights fell behind early and couldn't recover in an HOIC defeat as Dane Houser tallied a team-high 13 points for Blue Ridge (2-4).

Judah Christian 74, Salt Fork 64. The Storm couldn't slow down Cade Chitty, who dropped in 29 points to propel the Tribe (3-0) to a road nonconference win. Blaize Cobb-Griffin led Salt Fork (4-2) with 29 points and Payton Taylor finished with 22 points.

La Salette 65, Arthur Okaw Christian 49. Joel Adese (22 points, 14 rebounds) and Ian Burns (22 points, four blocks) powered La Salette (6-3) to a home win. Benny Lee paced AOC (3-1) with 16 points.

LeRoy 47, Fisher 45. LeRoy's Will Dooley capitalized at the free-throw line, sinking 12 of 14 foul shots, en route to a game-high 20 points for the Panthers (5-2) in an HOIC road win. Jaden Jones-Watkins scored 14 of his team-high 16 points in the second half for Fisher (4-2).

Mahomet-Seymour 52, Mt. Zion 39. Cory Noe had a game-high 23 points as the host Bulldogs (5-2) won in Apollo Conference action. Grant Coleman added 10 points for M-S, which outscored the Braves 17-6 in the fourth quarter.

Milford 61, Iroquois West 39. Jacob Thompson kept the host Bearcats (6-0) undefeated with a game-high 27 points. Max Grant and Jack McMillan chipped in 10 points apiece for IW (1-6).

Monticello 60, Auburn 23. The host Sages (2-0) cruised in their home opener behind Calvin Fisher (17 points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals) and Luke Stokowski (11 points, seven rebounds).

Okaw Valley 48, Sullivan 21. Sullivan's offense struggled, with Isaiah Plank's seven points leading the Redskins (1-3) in a home nonconference loss.

Prairie Central 62, Olympia 46. Wyatt Steidinger's 12 points led the Hawks (3-3) in a road win.

St. Thomas More 66, Oakwood 57. The visiting Sabers sank 12 three-pointers to polish off a nonconference win, with Riley Morris hitting five and finishing with a game-high 23 points for STM (3-4). Bryce Jones (19 points) sparked the Comets (1-2).

Uni High 76, DeLand-Weldon 28. Camden Coleman (19 points, six rebounds) and Noah Blue (16 points, seven rebounds) helped the Illineks (5-3) post a home win.

Unity 73, Marshall 58. JT Wheeler sank five three-pointers and went 10 of 13 at the free-throw line to produce a game-high 35 points for the host Rockets (2-0) in a nonconference win.

Westville 59, Villa Grove/Heritage 50. Skyler Elliott compiled 21 points to help the host Tigers (2-1) to a win. Jared Stevens scored a game-high 22 points for VG/H (3-4).

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 55, Arcola 45. Myles Roberts had a team-high 10 points for the host Purple Riders (2-1).

In girls' basketball

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 41, Covington (Ind.) 33. The host Blue Devils (7-2) earned the nonconference win as Emily Meidel dropped in a game-high 19 points.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda 51, Tri-Valley 36. Mackenzie Bruns scored a game-high 19 points as the visiting Panthers (6-3) won their third straight game.

Tri-County 64, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond 39. Harley Barry (15 points), Tayler Barry (14 points) and Kiersten Price-Wilson (12 points) led Tri-County (8-1) to a home win. Marissa Herschberger (14 points) and Hannah Wallen(13 points) carried ALAH (3-4).

In wrestling

At Champaign. Mahomet-Seymour beat Centennial 40-25 in a dual meet as Gage Granadino registered a pin in 2 minutes, 40 seconds at 138 pounds for M-S. Justin Cardani of Centennial posted a pin in 2:48 at 113. The Chargers also lost 45-33 to Lincoln, with Cardani winning by pin in 1:59 at 120.

At Danville. Danville defeated Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 51-30 in a home dual meet, with Cruz Perez at 182 pounds registering the fastest pin for Danville in 1 minute, 5 seconds. Talen Miller at 220 had a pin for BHRA.

In boys' swimming

At Champaign. Centennial defeated Normal Community 100-80 in a dual Big 12 meet at Unit 4 Pool. Luke Starks paced the Chargers by winning the 200-yard freestyle race in 1 minute, 54.50 seconds and doing the same in the 500 freestyle in 5:05.87.

At Normal. Mitchell Devine claimed the lone first-place finish for Champaign Central in a 111-69 road loss against Normal U-High. Devine won the 100-yard backstroke in 1 minute, 8.92 seconds.
