Moore's buzzer beater stuns state champ

CHICAGO — Kendle Moore and Danville knocked off defending Class 2A state champion Chicago Orr on Sunday at the Team Rose Shootout hosted by Chicago Mount Carmel.

Moore, who scored 35 points, hit the winning shot with 6 seconds left for the Vikings in a 91-89 victory.

Orr is ranked No. 1 in Class 2A.

Sean Houpt added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Eli Davis (15 points) nailed five threes of the bench for Danville, which is ranked sixth in Class 4A this season.
